CHAPTER APPROVED
Years in the making. This mod adds a new faction to Gladius, providing an immersive experience purging xenos and heretics from Gladius as the Iron Hands chapter of Adeptus Astartes.

THE IRON HANDS
The Sons of Ferrus Manus. The Iron Tenth. Hailing from frigid Medusa. Among the Space Marine Chapters, few are as relentless or ruthless as the Iron Hands. Where others see gene-crafted physical perfection, the Iron Hands see weakness of the flesh. Augmenting their bodies with cybernetics and making heavy use of tanks because one can trust only in Iron. The ultimate fate for an Iron Hand brother is entombment within the mighty sarcophagus of a Dreadnought - an eternity of war and servitude for the Emperor of Man without weakness or remorse, for THE FLESH IS WEAK!

TOTAL IRON
From a humble boltgun to the walls of your fortress-monastery - play this army in the chapter’s colors and heraldry of the Iron Hands, including dozens of custom icons, descriptions, and lore texts.

CHAPTER HEROES
Iron Captain - clad in ancient Terminator armour, advanced bionics and wielding the mighty Teeth of Mars this indomitable champion commands your forces with iron resolve.

Iron Father - trained on Mars, members the Iron Council, these warriors oversee the Chapter's spiritual health and guide the Battle-Brothers in their journey from a being defined by the biological weakness of the flesh to a warrior forged of rage and iron.

Venerable Dreadnought - due to the reverence for the mechanical amongst Iron Hands, their greatest heroes and commanders known the honour of ascending to Dreadnought sarcophagus.

Lieutenant - Lieutenants act as the right hands of their Captains by providing flexibility and helping to direct their battle-brothers in engagements.

Chief Apothecary - Chief Apothecaries are the most senior surgeons and battle medics available to Space Marine Chapters. This demi-hero provides powerful healing and a protective aura to nearby troops.

Predator Destructor - an anti-infantry battle tank.
Predator Annihilator - an anti-armoir battle tank.
Sternguard Space Marines - a unit of veterans equipped with incinerating combi-melta guns.
Vanguard Space Marines - a unit of veterans equipped with jump packs and mighty relic blades.
Assault Terminators - a unit in terminator armor wielding shredding lighting claws.
Baneblade - a behemoth tank awakened from the Brotherhood’s Iron Vault.
Helfather Termiantors - extensively cyberized infantry warriors that are difficult to shift.

BIONIC AUGMENTATIONS

Enhance your infantry with bionic augmentations. As your units level up they gain access to more cybernetic upgrades that can be unlocked through research.

Hi Alex, I can't remember exactly what I tried, but I could not disable the mod without it crashing the game. Tbh, it might be something to do with my other mods, I also like to create my own mods of mods, so I wouldn't blame dexgattaca for my problem. I didn't really want to not have this mod, so in the end I created my own couple of mods; one for when the AI is using the Iron Hands which disables the production of the Iron Father, and another which reinstates him when I want to play as Iron Hands. It's not ideal, but it seems to work so far.

Paul59, did you try subscribing again, going to Extras>Mods and disabling the mod, then playing normally?

Has anyone figured out a solution to this "Awaken the Machine" AI crash (see Lord_Draconis post below)?

I have tried to unsubscribe to the mod, but the game then crashes on startup as the Iron Hands faction doesn't exist!

If the bot is playing for the Iron Hands faction, then at a certain moment a crash occurs. I found out that the hero of Iron Father was to blame. He's trying to use an action AwakenTheMachine called Keys of Hell. If you manually control the bot and use this ability, there will be no departure.

GenericUnitAbility.cpp:45: double __cdecl gladius::world::action::AwakenTheMachine::getScore(const class gladius::world::Tile *) const: Assertion "targetTile->getUnit()" failed.

Can't wait to see a Primaris addon for the Iron Hands now that the Ultima Founding dlc is out!

I really like this mod.

However, the "killshot" ability of predators doesn't seem to be working.
Also, I cannot seem to figure out the trigger for when units can or cannot get another cybernetic enhancement. Can anyone explain here and/or @author can you please add additional text to the tech description?
