Crop and Meat Quality

Description
Features (v1.3)

Fruits, vegetables and meat are now assigned a quality based on the skill of the harvesting or butchering pawn.

(Configurable) Fine meals now require good quality ingredients and lavish meals now require excellent ingredients.
(Configurable) Lavish meals can be adjusted to use less ingredients, increasing their nutritional efficiency. This is a balance adjustment because the ability to make lavish meals is limited by ingredient quality.

Tip: To save good/excellent ingredients for fine/lavish meals, adjust the quality slider for simple/fine recipes.

Meat/Vegetables can be normal to excellent. (Note: This also applies to traders, but dev-mode spawned food can have any quality).

Fruits can be awful to excellent and provide thoughts based on quality when consumed raw. By default, pawns don't consider fruit quality thoughts when choosing food to eat. There is an option to change this, but it will cause pawns to prefer good/excellent berries over simple meals.

Warning: Ingredients with different qualities don't stack.

Optional use of the Everything Has Quality mod will make the following changes:

Set minimum and maximum quality levels for ingredients (there will no longer be a difference between vegetables/fruits).

New (optional) Inspirations for Butchering and Harvesting increases the quality of butchered meat and harvested crops for 4 days.

Compatibility

The changes are applied via script and will basically cover any foods you can harvest that are intended as ingredients for human food, along with anything that fits the vanilla definition of meat. Any ingredients not covered (animal products, preserved foods and custom defs) will be available for use in any recipe that allows them.

Credit

Simplified version of Kuqeu's idea for a mod that applies thoughts based on the quality of ingredients.

To answer my own question, yes it is.

Is the quality dependent on the skill of the pawn?

Damn I was looking for something like this but just for meat, and it being about small, easy game dropping bad quality meat (like squirrels or hares) , medium quality for things we usually consume irl like cows and chicken, and then excellent and above for increasingly hard to hunt animals (Maybe a reserved spot for Legendary should go to Thrumbo meat only)

this will be great for my illithid-run human farm

Oops. Somehow I uploaded the old version and this mod is not actually compatible with 1.3. It is now a 1.2 only mod. I will be releasing a new version for 1.3 that makes use of Quality Framework
