Description
This mod utilises MES and Rival AI to turn all 16 ships from the Survival Unlikely Finale into an NPC mod faction, the Zebra Monkeys Mercenaries (ZMM) will attack the highest value target they can detect, having a strong dislike of anyone with broadcasting antennas/beacons and will also attack anything that gets too close. Often travelling in pairs they are not to be trifled with, packing upgraded thrusters allowing for superior maneuverability and a tendency to ram as a last resort.

All the chat messages in this mod have the chat author as being the person who piloted the ship in the SU Finale, chat messages are a mixture of direct quotes from it, references to it, and to them being Mercenaries.

For the Bitter Pill and Walrus the versions that spawn will depend on the mods loaded in the world, if the Defense Shield mod is loaded then the versions with those shields will spawn, if the mod is not loaded than they will spawn as versions that have greatly increased grid strength, to approximate the strength of a shield (or think of it as Plot Armor if you prefer :) )

The ZMM Mercenaries will only spawn as Space/Lunar Cargo Ships, and will not pursue targets into gravity greater than 0.25g. All spawns (except for the Boss Encounters) have Threat Score minimums, so players will not be seeing them starting out and will have a chance to get built up first.

ZMM-Walrus-Orbital-Combat-Shuttle, created and piloted by Splitsie.

As the 4 Boss Encounters included in this mod can cause the game to stall for 3-6 seconds when spawning in the ships it is HIGHLY recommended to disable them if this mod is being used on a Dedicated Server where players aren't all working together. Below is the chat commands for doing so.

Haha, ok that's fair enough. I was expecting, I dunno, a boss fight I suppose. Not a zerg rush. I was thinking something had broken since so many duplicates spawned.

I do specifically note how to disable to the Boss Encounters if they are causing issues.

Nigh unplayable. I'm going to hope and assume that many ships aren't meant to spawn in all at once.

They are special thrusters that have 2x more force than normal, if you want to use them you need to keep them intact and attach them to the grid you want. :)

Why are the thruster components proprietary and only yield scrap when recycling? Really, its about the only negative I have with this mod.

Vanilla Cargo Ships and Random Encounters should still appear. The ZMM Mercenaries will target other NPC's as well as players so yes they would work with Reavers.

Will this mod allow the vanilla npcs spawn in? I have not seen any. Will this mod work with for exp. the reaver mod?
