Description


BETA of my Building Overhaul mod.


RELEASE VERSION:



Currently changes every HAN building and resource building with new and custom effects to add variety and challenge, also adds new buildings with custom art and effects.

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS THE BETA VERSION, IM RELEASING THIS TO TEST AND GATHER FEEDBACK FOR FUTURE CHANGES REGARDING BALANCE AND BROKEN STUFF. SO PLEASE, TELL ME YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE DISCUSSION SECTIONS BELOW

Summary:

  • Most of the -% construction cost for "x" types of buildings have been removed and merged into key buildings
  • Income generating effects have been slightly nerfed to compensate for the added effects
  • Most of the building now have some counterpart to them, having to think about adjacencies and province specialization
  • New Buildings added with new effects and custom art
  • Inn building chain has been redone, now focuses on spying and character satisfaction
  • Labour building chain has been redone, now provides provincewide consctruction time reduction, state workshops now provide construction cost reduction for every building chain to compensate for the -% construction cost change
  • Military infrastructure building chain has been redone to include new effects and custom retinues
  • Administration building chain has been redone to include an administrator position aswell as prime-minister
    position
  • Tax collection building chaing income changed from flat income to % income to avoid early game snowball














Not compatible with any mod that changes base game building effects, levels and retinues.

Compatible with MTU, other major overhauls not tested but should work as long as they dont touch any of the above.

With the current BETA version, han factions have a slight disadvantage on campaign as other faction buildings have no changes as of yet, will be okay on full release.

yep, doesn't run before or after TROM on mod list, would love to see a comp patch for these two

Good news, i've just released the Full version of Building Overhaul, you can check it here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2421247778

Release version contains all the changes that i've made on the BETA version + an overhaul on the military supplies to complement the building changes.

This mod will remain as a repository for experimental updates before pushing them to the full release. I'll be taking this week to see if something breaks with the new DLC and begin work on the bandit factions next. Cheers!

Update is up, let me know if something breaks or end up being unbalanced.

DLC shouldnt break anything hopefully, but it'll take me some time to update it for the new factions introduced.

When the DLC releases the full version of the mod will be uploaded as a separate download on the workshop, this one will remain to test and gather feedback on new updates before pushing it to the full version. Cheers!

New update incoming for early next week before DLC release.

-Resource buildings redone
-Spice/Silk buildings remade (will need balance testing)
-bunch of bug/balance fixes
-AI is now able to build the new buildings added by the mod

Feel free to make a translated version of the mod, as long as credit is given and the mod is made as a dependency of this one. I dont know much about chinese and dont really want to make a scuffed google translate workaround.

Figured, could probably make it work if you load it after and let it overwrite TROM building changes, but might break something unintended, so i wouldnt advise it.
