Description
THIS IS NOT THE DNSK MOD ITSELF. Please post any issues your having with DNSK itself on the official BUG REPORTS page on the main mod ( after reading the official guide HERE https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1618709569 )

THIS IS THE OFFICIAL DAILY NEEDS SURVIVAL KIT to INDUSTRIAL OVERHAUL merge mod from Skallabjorn and the DNSK Team in collaboration with Clockwork168.

This will not work on its own, you ** MUST ** have both the "Daily Needs Survival Kit" and "Industrial Overhaul" mods for it to function.

The intent of this mod is to cross over the ore's and other data in the 2 mods to work together and to give you the BASIC STARTING BLOCK in early game survival that you couldn't build due to the parts required to make the E-Rations block using the I.O. Mod at the mods basic tech levels.

IN THIS MOD

- Small Block Emergency Rations Unit using the I.O. mods parts
- Planetary Data Update for ore generation ( provided by Clockwork )
- Voxel Data for Asteroid ore generation ( provided by Clockwork )
- New Blueprint for Chemical Fertilizer ( provided by Clockwork )

Load Order is Important !

Please see the included image above for Keen and Local game use. For Torch Servers, reverse the pictured order.

Note that if you get the load order wrong it wont over-write the original Emergency Rations Block with the new parts from the I.O. mod. Nor will the ores etc spawn properly for the rest of the compatibility, it will use the original vanilla parts needed to assemble the block, which is impossible to do with the basic level of tech in the Industrial Overhaul in early game.

The E-Rations block can be built with parts made in the I.O. mods "Assembly Bench", which is the equivalent of the Basic Assembler in vanilla SE.

The remaining blocks in DNSK ** still require ** that you use the Mod Compatibility Assembler from the I.O. mod, which is available at a higher tech level in the progression.

HINT - Big Block users.... use the rotor head for large to small block trick or even yet just drop a slab of small block armor down along with a battery of some type and a solar panel to get your food system going. Just because its only a small block doesn't mean your unable to get going. Ideally, connect it to your spawn rover / lander. And remember, the unit is a BASIC SURVIVAL unit and is slow, so if you want faster production, build an extra unit or 2? Common Sense.

use a spawn ship mod that provides emergency supplies to start with. the whole point of the mod is to provide a challenge :) Cheers

i still only start out with 26 hydration and not enough time to build an assembling bench + power source + emergency ration block...

Yes, thats actually part of the DNSK mod itself, this is the IO merge mod for the IO and DNSK system.

As to dying too fast, I gather your not using a respawn pod mod that gives you starting supplies? There are quite a few on the workshop.....

Is it normal on first spawn to only have 34 food and 34 water, with zero items in inventory on the ship or on person? If so, that's just a recipe for immediate death at the rate in which thirst goes down, within minutes I was down to 15 water just from my first mining. I do not see a feasible way for a player to start and have water and food generation up that quickly without dying repeatedly. Not the start I'm looking for. I tested this with ONLY the three mods in the correct order as above and checked all inventories on Earth like planet drop pod.

Water Bottles? Or do you mean Drinkable Water Packets?

Tested... cant duplicate your probelm. ( there are no water "bottles" in DNSK )

I have an issue where the Emergency Rations block won't accept water bottles to make the rations.

Eat drik sleep repeat is not compatible with DNSK due to the scripts in EDSR conlflicting

I don't if this is the a problem with this plugin or just DNSK, but the DNSK items do not show up in the Survival Kit if you use the Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat! plugin for Industrial Overhaul. Either way, just thought I'd point this out for anyone trying to use DNSK and Eat. Drink. Sleep. Repeat! with Industrial Overhaul. Hope someone fixes this in the future. It would be nice to see these three mods to work nice with each other.

And yes, being an assembler it suffers from all the bugs in Keens code that all assemblers can suffer from. Not drawing from its output slot is one of those in game bugs from Keen.
