Read the comments below....... I did find that if you open a wall of the correct dimensions for an exterior door, and install one of those plain flat doorless frames on the INSIDE layer of wall, you can get it to work on some house. Remember that exterior walls are double thick as interior walls. I am still trying to recover from a bad hard drive that wiped out my system. GET AWAY FROM PATA/SATA hard drives if you can! They can fail when you least expect it, and disaster will strike! MOVE TO SSD's, faster with no moving parts to fail on you from excessive wear...

Then why can't you make it so it WILL work with all DLCs.???

Not useless per se. Perhaps you can modify them to fit with the 2x2 door frames, as long as the frames are situated inside?

The new door mechanics that install with PETS DLC have made all my exterior doors nearly useless...

Oh no its not WORK !!!!

Hm. I just used the mod in House in a Thicket. When I originally placed them, they left a gap but even though it was a little fiddly I could move them inwards one more increment, so they sit generally flush with the wall. Now there is only a tiny gap visible only on the inside, left of my dot pointer in the picture here: https://i.imgur.com/ebWPte9.jpeg

From a couple steps away one doesn't even notice it. They look superb, I am using 2 on each side of a centre sliding door (and yes, Cougarmint is right, the new door mechanics are part of the base game, you don't need the Pets DLC).Thanks for these!

I think the new mechanics were added to the base game, if I recall, so you don't technically need to download the pets dlc to change the doors. At least, that's what I read on the forums.
