CH-53K King Stallion

Detailed information of CH-53K can be found at Lockheedmartin's web site.
This model faithfully reproduces the real thing, I think.

I don't know how heavy an object this model can lift.

Admiral, can I check out your revised version?

Oh nice, you're alive. With the state of the world, that was becoming an uncertainty.

But I'd like your endorsement to upload, yes. You might find the change-log amusing in and of itself. I've been keeping a document on the side in Notepad++ and I'm pretty sure this is two pages long.

so what's your point ?
Did I give approval for uploading modded one ?

So... 14 hours of work turned into 14 straight days of it. And a simple refit turned into an overhaul.

An update from me, 14 hours later. I have it! It is working!

I had to go rip huge chunks of the FCS for the AW-101 Merlin, and then rehash it to fit the microcontroller in the CH-53, but I've got it flying and stable. Now I just have to tune in some of the parameters so it's properly responsive, and adjust the alterations I made to the vehicle. Maybe fit a few more features in if there's enough space for a few more small micros.

I just figured out what's going on with the autopilot after working on this helicopter for 15-ish hours.

The Microcontroller that got shoved into it is not a helicopter controller, but rather a fixed-wing autopilot control block that got jury-rigged to try and control it.

Full size post trimmed to less than 1000 chars, I'm working on it.

Great heli, but needs improvements to stability.

I love the detail! just would like to suggest a gyro scope for level flight. It wold be much easier to fly that way.
