Admiral, can I check out your revised version?
AdmiralTigerclaw 25 Aug, 2021 @ 9:44am
Oh nice, you're alive. With the state of the world, that was becoming an uncertainty.

But I'd like your endorsement to upload, yes. You might find the change-log amusing in and of itself. I've been keeping a document on the side in Notepad++ and I'm pretty sure this is two pages long.
Ampoulepin  [author] 25 Aug, 2021 @ 7:17am
so what's your point ?
Did I give approval for uploading modded one ?
AdmiralTigerclaw 24 Aug, 2021 @ 8:43pm
So... 14 hours of work turned into 14 straight days of it. And a simple refit turned into an overhaul.

An update from me, 14 hours later. I have it! It is working!

I had to go rip huge chunks of the FCS for the AW-101 Merlin, and then rehash it to fit the microcontroller in the CH-53, but I've got it flying and stable. Now I just have to tune in some of the parameters so it's properly responsive, and adjust the alterations I made to the vehicle. Maybe fit a few more features in if there's enough space for a few more small micros.

I just figured out what's going on with the autopilot after working on this helicopter for 15-ish hours.

The Microcontroller that got shoved into it is not a helicopter controller, but rather a fixed-wing autopilot control block that got jury-rigged to try and control it.

Full size post trimmed to less than 1000 chars, I'm working on it.

Great heli, but needs improvements to stability.
Jarsp 29 May, 2021 @ 7:53pm
I love the detail! just would like to suggest a gyro scope for level flight. It wold be much easier to fly that way.
Oddpercentage 8 May, 2021 @ 4:13pm
Can it float?
JackZT 28 Mar, 2021 @ 6:27am
That will be cool, i love that anime and those heli, btw u are an awesome builder!
Ampoulepin  [author] 28 Mar, 2021 @ 6:24am
Hi jack, thanks for your comment !
That's a good idea, Pave Mare will be my next challenge.
JackZT 28 Mar, 2021 @ 6:21am
Dude this heli is epic! It will be cool to see the full metal panic mh 67 version if it doesn't take lot of work!
naizey_lines 14 Feb, 2021 @ 11:51am
why does it fly sideways when using autopilot?
Lolloprogamer27 10 Feb, 2021 @ 11:46pm
I tried this and it seems to work. The thing that dosn't work is when using ap. But I will stop, I understand that it can't be fixed
Ampoulepin  [author] 10 Feb, 2021 @ 5:45am
Please set your destination to Mt Toddy, set altitude 300ft, set throttle 50%.
Turn on ap-course and ap-altitude.
Then turn on ap-master and cruise mode.
If the aircraft goes mad even if you followed the procedure above, unfortunately I have to ask your for permission to run away.
Ampoulepin  [author] 10 Feb, 2021 @ 5:36am
It can't be denied that the autopilot has unknown bugs. If it so, it should be our common or major issue at least.
As you know, we can expect that same input in correct procedure results same.
It's hard to think you are the only one in other 2845 cases.
Lolloprogamer27 10 Feb, 2021 @ 1:06am
If you want send me a message on steam so we can try and fix it, I tried on two computers and it has the same problem in both.
Ampoulepin  [author] 9 Feb, 2021 @ 4:55pm
Too much deviation between current and target alt may cause fetal issues.
Unfortunately, I can't find out the reason to be said it's broken for other reasons.
Everything works fine in my game and seems to so in other peoples'.
Lolloprogamer27 9 Feb, 2021 @ 10:27am
I did everything you told me for the autopilot, the copter points to the right direction, but then it starts tilting backwards, this lead to an exponential growth. If high enough it will even flip around.
TurbulentTurtle 9 Feb, 2021 @ 10:19am
I am not making this my favorite because he said so, I am doing it because this is a friecking masterpiece.
Ampoulepin  [author] 9 Feb, 2021 @ 7:30am
Maybe the chopper was trying to take you to (0,0) instead of somewhere else.
anyway, I hope your travel goes well :)
Ampoulepin  [author] 9 Feb, 2021 @ 7:24am
Please input your destination into a keyboard then, press "set" to input the data into any memory area of waypoint manager.
By following the procedure, you'll find your destination on a navigation monitor and your chopper head to the direction.
Ender gamer 20208 9 Feb, 2021 @ 2:00am
this is great for an aircraft carrier
Lolloprogamer27 9 Feb, 2021 @ 12:38am
I think that the autopilot is broken, when I insert the co-ordinate the coper flies in the opposite direction. I tried to give a look, I am no expert, but I think it's just inverse. But the thing flies perfectly, one of my favourite copters in the game.
ShatteredMinds0 8 Feb, 2021 @ 4:21pm
Can you give me the link to the hummer in that one screen shot?
britishmonkey 8 Feb, 2021 @ 9:01am

that_frog_kurtis 6 Feb, 2021 @ 12:01pm
This looks fantastic, really well done. I'm working on one as well, it's cool to see the different ways we've solved the same issues lol. Hopefully mine will be worthy of sharing a flight deck with this once it's done.
braeee_ 6 Feb, 2021 @ 9:54am
