Happy Families

Description
Tired of giving token jobs to placate families? End this ridiculous minigame and keep all families happy so that you can focus on what actually matters.

All I did was lower the value of EXPECTED_JOB_PERCENTAGE in 00_defines.txt. Updated to 2.0.x.

You can add this mod to remove the Populares penalty: Grateful Families + Populares Support

Mod still works great in the Ides of March, 2024. Thanks for making it!

MI, could you change the Grateful_Job_Percentage be a suitably large number? I, too, am trying to get the Populares into power (mostly by stuffing all available jobs with Populares...).

One issue that's not really the mods fault: as Rome, the Populares disapprove of families being grateful, which adds -0.10 popularity for each grateful family. With this mod, all families are always grateful, so it's basically impossible to appease the Populares. For example, the buff for having the Consul be part of Populares is only +.04.

Thanks MrBlazzar™, I updated the mod so it does that.

It's possible to only edit that line without editing all the lines by making a new define file and only including what you change in it.

I did it by making a define file called hf_defines.txt and only including this

NFamily = {
EXPECTED_JOB_PERCENTAGE = 0 #(TOTAL_JOBS / NUM_FAMILIES) * EXPECTED_JOBS_PERCENTAGE
GRATEFUL_JOB_PERCENTAGE = 0 #current jobs > (expected jobs * GRATEFUL_JOBS_PERCENTAGE)
}

And their desired jobs and grateful was 0.

Are you guys using a mod that makes them be 500? Since the whole 00_defines.txt file is the mod it might overwrite whatever another mod changes in that file. I don't know if there's any other way.

Yeah its changing units to be 1000, good idea though I really don't like the scorned families

It seems to be changing the number of soldiers in a military group from 500 to 1000.
