You should've gotten this from SANDBERT or discord, and only from there.

There's a documentation for any avid workshop creators in the discussions. Keep in mind this is still in beta.

This isn't a release; I just want feedback on the base cast's final smashes and the flexibility of the workshop compatibility.

When this buddy actually releases, it'll be a new item, and this specific one will be removed from the workshop.

Workshop side, this buddy would ideally create a 'standard' system for creators to include finishers in their characters without needing to care about balance. In other words, this ideally would make final smashes "just work" on the players' ends, being enabled/disabled universally without any extra work for workshoppers.

(and yes, Muno, I did jailbreak your phone for the character select icon.)

KNOWN ISSUES:

- Reloading in training mode with the buddy crashes the game.. with basecast. Ditto your workshop character to prevent this.
- Some base cast scripts don't work when used on custom characters
- Milestone / Special skins won't have unique sprites
- Shovel Knight and Elliana's Final Smashes glitch out when the same player activates them in succession via training mode. This won't happen in normal play, so I don't care.
- Particles use the palette of the local player using the buddy. This only applies to particles intrinsic to the buddy itself.

ONLINE ONLY ISSUES
- Online play works!
- loading the buddy in the character select screen will sometimes crash the game. The most consistent way I've found to circumvent this is by loading it into a local match first, and then heading to online matchmaking.
- Every online player requires the buddy. Otherwise there will be desyncs.
