Beak Thing Statue

In 1 collection by MARH
MARH's mod
36 items
Description
This mod adds various Beak Thing statues and stone furniture.
You can build all of them after researching "Improved Stone Mining".
All statues appear in "GUTTER" category of building lists.
Building costs of the statues are all set to 0.

There is no need to import.
I recommend to import when you remove this mod.
If you don't want to Import, make sure you dismantle all furniture from Beak Thing Statue before you remove this mod.

Relax. Enjoy death.

UPDATE November 14
Tweak buildings group of blue lights
--------------------------------------------
*CAUTION*
Please avoid placing statues on gates.
If you build statues or furniture near the door of Defensive Gate II or Makeshift Gate, the gate become impassable and your characters are trapped around the gate door.
You can resolve this problem by dismantling the statues and relaunching the game.

-Note-
If you build a statue too deep into the ground, it will come to surface automatically after next loading.

Auto-hauling to Disposers is impossible, and you have to collect its products manually.

Your characters will not use two-seater benches automatically even if you turn "Sit when idle" AI on.
Please register the benches as character's tasks.
Characters may sit in the air or be pushed off the bench, but those are due to benches' Building Functionality.

Someone either had too much time on his hands ...or not enough.
hahaha,

I like your "a beakhead statue holding a lamp" idea. So, I made a quick mockup.

Is my understanding correct?

There's one small thing i'd like to add to this mod, a "Beak Head" statue holding a lamp. That's it!

I hate Beak Things so god damn much. This is cursed, I love it. :cute:

This is a fantastic mod.

Oh I see! That's a perfect explanation, thank you.

The difference between fixed and non-fixed chairs is the orientation of the characters sitting upon them.

A character will face a specific direction if he sits upon a fixed-type chair.
But if he uses a non-fixed chair, he will face toward the nearest campfire or table automatically.
Example → Image1 Image2
The fixed chairs are helpful for setting scenes like briefings, lectures, or dark rituals without using campfires or tables.
Thank you for trying my mod!

Question, what's the difference between the fixed and non-fixed orientation furniture? Is there a point to using the fixed?

It works smoothly now, thank you. I can finally build the beak thing themed base of my dreams!

@Dragoler
I am glad to hear you have fewer issues, and thank you for the additional report. The auto-icon generation process has become more suspicious to me.
I cannot say about custom race mods. Still, I guess preparing icon images and including them in the mod beforehand may help to bypass the auto-icon generation and reduce crashes. The icons are only 369 KB in total, so they would not burden the game.
Thank you again for sharing helpful information.
