Weightless/Improved Staves

Description
This mod essentially removes the weight of staves, allowing you to carry as many of them as you want without having to suffer the 8lbs of them each. It also increases the damage of some staves, adds one new staff that can be crafted, and extends the charges indefinitely. The only staves that remain unaltered are the unenchanted staves from the Dragonborn DLC, the Falmer staves since I couldn't find them in the Creation Kit, and the Staff of Magnus, since the changes that this mod made previously conflicted with the Staff of Magnus Improved mod, which I also enjoy playing with and highly reccomend. Check out the creator's other mods as well, they're pretty fun and lore-friendly.

This mod is amazing. Definitely worth a download if you're a staff-wielding mage. =p

This does not need to be nerfed at all
It's a mod, it doesn't HAVE to be balanced
also, I like being OP, it's fun! :)

@zhero691
It does, but I'm planning to remove that feature and simply raise the actual charge level on the staves as soon as my Creation Kit decides to work again. :')

does this mod make staves have infinite charges?

I haven't used any staff yet and I wondered if they can be used to block an attacker like using a bow to bash them to stop their attack and still do some damage.

@Willoloh!! (ATR)

The reason the staves are more powerful is because I thought that they were too weak, and the reason for unlimited charges was because when I continuously used a Staff of Flames, it would run out of charges too fast.

I made the Staff of Magnus so powerful for that reason. I thought it killed low-level units too SLOWLY. Since I really liked the staff, I wanted to make it more useful against anything other than the Eye of Magnus and rabbits and fish.

@Jo_Blow

I've made and published a lite version of this mod if you don't like all the alterations that this mod adds. Just look up "Weightless Staves: Lite Version" without the quotation marks.

@Dr. Pinkie

Yes, I've also made it weightless. The Skull of Corruption and Sanguine's Rose are also weightless and have infinite charges. Their mechanics all remain the same though.

I like your idea , weightless not the other ideas to improve tho ..tysm ...I shall seek out a mod just to make those staffs weightless only ...my hope you just make a simple mod for weightless only ....that would be a great mod well used in all the DLC games then ...tysm :)

You have made magnus staff 500% stronger, u have made charges unlimited and destruction staves are even stronger... it breaks the point of staves. Staves in skyrim are for those who train their magical abilities but do not wish to invest in a huge pool of mana. The way your staves are, firstly it completely negates the need to train a school of magic because as long as you have the staff your good. I believe the charges should NOT be messed with. What could be done is using staves also train the school of magic BUT in a slower rate. Staff of Magnus in vanilla skyrim is underpower I admit it. it needs maybe up to 200% power but no more than that or it will kill low lvl units so quickly
