It's a mod, it doesn't HAVE to be balanced
also, I like being OP, it's fun! :)
It does, but I'm planning to remove that feature and simply raise the actual charge level on the staves as soon as my Creation Kit decides to work again. :')
The reason the staves are more powerful is because I thought that they were too weak, and the reason for unlimited charges was because when I continuously used a Staff of Flames, it would run out of charges too fast.
I made the Staff of Magnus so powerful for that reason. I thought it killed low-level units too SLOWLY. Since I really liked the staff, I wanted to make it more useful against anything other than the Eye of Magnus and rabbits and fish.
@Jo_Blow
I've made and published a lite version of this mod if you don't like all the alterations that this mod adds. Just look up "Weightless Staves: Lite Version" without the quotation marks.
@Dr. Pinkie
Yes, I've also made it weightless. The Skull of Corruption and Sanguine's Rose are also weightless and have infinite charges. Their mechanics all remain the same though.
How so?
But the problem remains, what do the power staves do?
Perhaps, I could look into something like that, like adding a new power that changed the staff from melee to magic and could be used limitless times daily?
@The@Heart_Broken&Man
Do you mean like, new individual perks in each School of Magic, or whole new perk trees?
Yep. I'm also gonna add infinite charges on the Skull of Corruption as well.
@Foxy346 <3
Do you mean a new perk tree for staves, or just new individual perks in existing categories?
@Tycer
I'll work on that. I just first need to find a program with which I can make new models because I don't think any of the current Skyrim models will work.
In the description, it says that if you potentially want something changed, then to comment about it. If I see a certain number of comments (5) refering to the same topic, then I'll make the change and update the mod. For example, if someone wanted the strength of the staves to be nerfed, then they would comment about it, and if another 4 people comment about the same thing, then I'll nerf the staves.
Hm, interesting idea. I'll see what I can do.
I should, actually. I'll be sure to do that soon.
