Your game must be a multiplayer game for this to work

Map Transitioners

This addon lets you place different transitioners around your map to teleport to other transitioners on other maps. Basically like a teleporter, but between maps

How to use
  1. Open your Q menu, and select the transitioner tool under the "Down" tab on the right
  2. Select your toolgun
  3. Look at where you want to place a transitioner, and click
  4. Enter the display name at the top input field
  5. Next, input the map you want this transitioner to transition to (e.g. gm_construct)
  6. Lastly, input the ID, this is what you will use on the other map to link them, so be sure to remember the unique ID you put in!
  7. Click "Create Transitioner
  8. Right click, and click save
  9. Walk into the transitioner and press E, if it loads the map then it is working. If nothing happens you inputted an invalid map
  10. When the map is loaded, repeat steps 3 and 4, and for the ID put in the unique ID you used on the last transitioner you made on the other map.
  11. Right click, and press save
  12. If everything is working, you should be able to enter the transitioner, press E, and you will load into the other map, and spawn at the transitioner

It works great for me to add transitions to the next map in custom campaigns. I do not create a second transitioner in next map at all, so people spawn at regular spawnpoint. Just make sure notto use the same ID twice.

I have been searching for this for so long.

This has the opportunity to become one of the most legendary GMod mods ever created, but right now, it's too unpolished.

There are tons of very evident bugs. There's a debug message displayed in the chat after every action, which I assume the creators forgot to remove. The cube that is displayed when you equip the tool becomes a physical object that you can interact with if you change to a different tool or just press Esc.
There's no way to remove the transitioners in-game - even if you manually delete them and then "save" them, they will still appear after reloading the map.

All in all, great idea, poor execution.

Whenever I use a car from simfphys i spawn in just a seat (Bug?)

Having an issue where you dont load in at the transition area in the other map. Still, super cool and useful, thanks for making this. One day, I hope its possible to be able to move between saves in a similar way with your friends so you can easily act out whole stories while taking props and such with you.

все сделано по инструкции, но телепортация не работает, тупо бросает на дефолтный старт карты, а не на метку, мб у меня так хз
