Falklands '82 (UPGRADE IN PROG

In 1 collection by Judge Dredd
Campaigns inspired by real world events
27 items
Description
A series of 7 Single player missions which re-create some of the key moments of the Falklands '82 conflict. You will take on the role of an RAF Pilot flying a Harrier GR3 (VTOL's F-45) operating from the aircraft carrier HMS Hermes, flying various escourt/protect, rescue assist, air to air intercepts, naval strikes ground strikes and CAS missions.

IN PROCESS OF MAJOR UPGRADE - DYNAMIC WEATHER /TIME - BUGS BEING FIXED - EXTRA DETAIL ADDED

I created the missions after lots of research, but as you would expect, given the limitations of VTOL VR, I have had to apply some creative licence to the unit types and objectives. However, each mission is based as closely as possible on real events and the order of the missions broadly reflect the actual timeline. Aircraft call-signs and ship names/identification numbers are also as accurate as possible.

If you like the mission why not…….

The upgrade is still in progress. I am hoping to finish in the next week or so, I will message here and on Reddit Vtol VR channel when its complete.

Hi,
already played it as one of my first modded campaigns.

Title says "UPGRADED", description that it is still being upgraded.
Is the upgrade already being done or still WIP?

Upgrade sounds good, guess I would replay then :)

Thanks for all the comments good and bad. This was one of my early campaigns and I appreciate there were a few clunky bits. However there are huge constraints within the vtol editor meaning sometimes you just have to use your imagination a little bit. 🙏🏻😀

It's not a bad campaign, but could do with some tweaking. The MS Sam AI voice is rather grating, there are few targets and fewer that pose any challenge, the carrier group likes to position themselves needlessly far away from them, with oversaturated friendly AI presence who will easily take care of all of them for you anyway.

The "civillian airliner" (shows up on the TSD as a hostile B-11) towards the end of one mission will get shot down by friendlies every time, preventing mission completion.

In at least two missions when you need to find a target by being given the bearing from a particular friendly cruiser, there's no indication of who/where they are. You have to ring them up on the comms and request a vertical landing to get their position, which is rather silly and awkward.

Sorry, but I don’t get why this campaign has such a high rating. Some of the mission targets were buggy, so the mission couldn’t continue. The flight time is quite long and the targets are pretty easy and boring.

There are so many other great campaigns out there!

But maybe this campaign is good for beginners.

Loved this single player campaign one of my favourites so far, do you know if you intend to ever turn this into a multiplayer campaign.......

Hello Judge,

I tried playing this campaign, however, I don't think I can't get past the first mission when I'm tasked to join with the bombers; the waypoint points to an empty space in the level and the bomber is nowhere to be seen.

Is this, perhaps, a bug of sorts or am I missing something very obvious?

Thanks.

Enjoyed the missions but disliked how enemies weren't spawned into the game until i hit some trigger that i can't see, like trying to find the nimbus (might be wrong name) where I'm following the bearing scanning with the targeting thingy thinking I'm looking at the wrong 180 until it magically appears. The scouting obj on mission 5 (I think, the 1st daytime landing) had the same issue, or maybe I just couldn't find the rocket guys but I was looking pretty hard.

Overall pretty fun

After playing your Artemis campaign I decided to try more of your content. This campaign piqued my curiosity due to being for the F-45A, I had no prior experience with the said aircraft.

The campaign is amazing, very well-crafted and easy to follow, if you liked Artemis campaign you'd like this one also.

Long missions with good story telling and affordable and realistic objectives.

Thank Judge Dredd for your work!
