The other way is to sell all of the affected (and connected) pieces, then replace them. It seems like a lot more work, but it can be faster and easier than fixing misaligned pieces.
Raven, Relysa's right, my walls don't have any squish leeway (I love that description! :D). Their size is exactly 25cm wide and the box colider is the same. With no leeway, the pieces can't be placed beside each other if they're not aligned perfectly, however if something causes even one piece to move out of alignment, it results in a domino affect throughout all connected pieces. Gaps will appear and it won't look like a smooth wall. Which fits your description. Moving or selling a piece after it's been placed, or something falling on a piece, can cause it.
(splitting comment due to length)
i mean no disrespect either, and i did take a screenshot i could show you perhaps
The movement is a known issue that's related to the game's physics system, I've stabilised my walls as much as I can and they don't move for me, however they do still move for some players. The only tip I can offer is to make sure that you place the wall pieces exactly where you want them as it's when you move or sell them that they affect anything touching them.
on paper, i love this. but in reality its a mess, they tap eachother and go everywhere and dont fit by like half an inch of a gap
