Animal Controls

Description
Tools to make general animal herding more convenient.

Features
- makes so all animals can have food restrictions (the same as Animal Food Restrictions mod);
- makes so "Animals" tab has "Food Restriction" category (similar to AnimalFoodRestrictionInTab mod);
- adds food categories for all plants. All "tree" class objects go to the "trees", other plants that can be grown by the player go to "crops", and everything else goes to "plants";
- adds "Other Edible" category for everything that can be eaten, but doesn't go to the "Plants" or normal "Foods" category, so you can now restrict edibles that can't be usually forbidden. Don't forget to synchronize your food restrictions with drug restrictions;
- you can restrict pawns (i.e. animals) from eating growing plants;
- added an option to set default food restriction for all joining animals (see Food Restrictions -> Defaults);
- added an option to set a food restriction that all handlers will use when taming or training animals. This restriction overrides current restriction set to the animal (see Food Restrictions -> Defaults). I. e. you can set all grazing animals to only wild plants, yet your handlers still can train them using separate restriction;
- all newborn animals inherit their food restriction from their parents;
- all newborn animals inherit their area restriction from their parents;
- handlers, instead of using only non-meal food, now can use any food with low nutrient value for taming and training (euqal or below 0.1). In vanilla it means you can use pemmican;
- (optional) an option to allow pawns feed, tame and train animals using hay. Animals also prefer growing plants and hay over everything else if they're allowed to eat it;
- (optional) an option to make animals pay attention to the handler, preventing them from running off right in the middle of interaction.

Can be added mid-game. You might need to update your food restrictions. Can be removed mid-game with generally harmless error messages. You might need to re-draft your pawns.

When you update to 1.6, can there be an option to save the food policy from game to game? So I could load exactly what I want without having to play around with it every time? I would like to be able to save an animal policy. Thank you!

@avil, !Jinx~ Thank you so much! Loads of kibble and no tames turned into working flawlessly. :cactuar:

Turns out it was mod order, moving this above Animals logic fixed it. Ty

You must have some other mod doing something with restirctions. One restriction allows him to use food when he picks it up, but another forbids him from using it to train, so he goes to pick up some more, getting stuck in a cycle. May be mod order.

i'm not sure what's causing it (no errors in logs) but whenever I have an animal set up for training the trainer will shove as much food as possible into thier pockets causing them to walk around with 600+ kibble. Removing this stops them from doing it.

Using pick up and haul/animals logic/allow tool

As evoc, I dont have the button on bottom left either - is this the issue you've said below you're working on? (and thanks for your work on the mod)

fantastic mod 5/5, don't know how many have said this bc obvi user error, only issue is i've just "defaulted" to making a food line for pawns that's not on the default bc i ruined my colony not realizing every new tame and birth was using default and eating my meals despite having 300 kibble lol

I'm planning to handle that issue differenly, sono vanilla windows involved anymore (because this problem keeps coming back because of other mods). But it might take a moment.
