The Floativator

Description
Big waves got your helicopter down? Doing sea rescues in single player? Then you need the Floativator(tm). This is what happens when a real life pilot and professional programmer designs a virtual aircraft.

The outer passenger compartment lowers 20 meters and floats in the sea so that the rest of the helicopter doesn't have to. Lower down the floating elevator, load up to twelve survivors, raise it back up and whisk them off to the nearest hospital. Hover 20 meters nearby the hospital and ride the elevator back down to avoid risk of tangling the rotors in the trees. Remote control (channel 1) the helicopter from the elevator or anywhere nearby.

Fasten your seatbelts: With its custom modular engine, this helicopter can do 500 kph (with a tailwind) for more than half an hour, burning only cheap and widely available diesel fuel. Hover time is 150 minutes. Cruise at 270 kph for about two hours. One engine cylinder can be shut down for additional fuel savings. The rotors turn off automatically at high speeds.

Flight is easy with standard helicopter controls. To start, flip on the main power breaker and long press "engine start". Hotkey 5 toggles the pusher propellers.

Floativator's main mission is finding floating loot crates, and it does this so well that it might just pay for itself on its first trip! The helicopter remembers where loot crates were last pinged by the radar and will literally fly circles around them until you stop and pick them up.

The cockpit is nearly all glass, making it easier to keep your eye on the loot. The main radar panel is overhead but the direction and distance to discovered loot crates automatically appear on the main HUD. By default the radar range is 5,000 meters, but this can be set to as little as 500 meters by tapping on the main radar panel. Tap on any of the loot crate indicators on the main HUD and the helicopter will set course to it. Once there, hit hotkey 5 to turn off the pusher propellers and hotkey 6 to cancel heading hold to keep your eye on the loot. Tap 'C' to clear all remembered loot crates from the main HUD.

Set course to any waypoint by selecting it on your map (default 'M') and then click "Input Waypoint" on the keypad. Hold the current heading, head to the waypoint, head to selected loot or cancel heading hold by tapping the heading hold panel. The overhead map displays direction and distance to your waypoint.

Tips:

Small cargo can be stored in the cockpit and larger cargo moved by the mag-all winch. The mag-all winch can also be used as an air anchor while hovering, to pull small boats, etc. To use the fire pump, first hover to 10 meters and then lower the pump winch into the water. To avoid waves flipping the elevator, ride the harness down then lower the elevator using the harness or remote control. For high wind sea rescues, lower the mag-all and anchor it to the floating ship or aircraft. The mag-all can also be lowered using the remote control, but be sure to turn it off when you're done to avoid snagging the elevator.

Compatible with these mini-submarine modules.

You should publish your radar system as a module, every career start boat would want to try and incorporate it so that they can find loot crates from day 1

Thank you.

For those like me... The HUD's are touch panels, so sit in the pilot seat, look to your right and down a bit and you should see the Yellow power breaker (main power), Start Engine is front of you on the main HUD. To use the Mag all or the fire hose, there are 1x1 HUD's on the right of you that are touch, use the <> to raise or lower the hose/cable and the main touch to turn them off or on. The main Float controls seem to be located directly behind the pilot and have an up and down arrow. Recommend you pickup one of the remote controls off the side before you take off just in case you are on a rescue and fall out (don't ask). Remote is a godsend when you need it.

OMG this is the most amazing creation I've played with of all time for this game!!! This deserves to be the number 1 download bar none. Bravo!! I'm still trying to figure out all the controls but man once I figured out that the "buttons" you were talking about were touch screen huds, wowo!!
