Helios Hydroponics Module

Description
CV, Basic Extender, Unlock Level 15, Class 3

Works only in Reforged Eden. This module is designed specifically for Project Eden's hydroponics bays, and makes heavy use of components only available in Reforged-based scenarios.

The Helios Hydroponics Module is a farm expansion module designed for docking into the Helios-MSC by jrandall. It is based loosely on the Helios Garden Module RF from Allessia and is intended to match the external aesthetic of that series of modules.

This module is designed to house 30 hydroponics bays in a unique RP style. Each bay is actually mounted sideways on a mounting bracket that is attached to the ceiling. This lets you walk down the rows underneath the bays and rapidly harvest them as you go.

This is a highly experimental ship design!

And by experimental, I mean awkward. Empyrion will only allow crops to grow in the upward direction of the ship's core. In order to "wall mount" these bays I had to construct the entire ship on its side. When docked to the Helios this will be completely transparent. However, flying the ship is very awkward. The "top" of the ship will actually be to your right, and your heavy lift thrust will be to your left. You basically have to fly the ship as if you are lying on your left side. This also means that the 'O' key will not orient you correctly. I included a set of arrows on the cockpit glass that indicate which direction is "up".

I highly recommend that you only spawn this module in space. If you do need to spawn this on land please refer to the image with instructions on how to access and orient the module using the front ladder. If you spawn in space, you will need to remove the ladder and the informational LCD before you can dock the module.

Features

Behind the elevator are a quick-access fridge and cargo box that can be used collect your crops. At the top of the elevator is a hallway with access to all of the module's storage and crafting. 6 fridges and 3 food processors are installed for all of your food handling needs. An advanced constructor is included so that you can craft the hydroponics bays themselves if required, or it can be used with the small constructor to process ingredients needed for meds. You have 4 full 320k systems to use for cargo storage, and a handful of smaller boxes for other use.

The door next to the core leads to a maintenance space underneath the solar panels. This area allows you access to replace or repair the panels without undocking the module. Removing the solar panels will not affect the air-tightness of the module, so your crops will be safe.

The module is also designed as a teleporter hub, with the teleporter visible and quickly accessible by the front door. An armor locker and storage container are on the wall behind the teleporter so you can swap out inventory and armor items based on your destination.

There are two switches in the control panel to control gravity behavior. The top "Gravity" switch simply leaves the gravity generator on all the time. The "Auto Gravity" switch will only activate the gravity generator when you are inside the module. This is useful if you want to run the Helios without gravity, but want to have gravity present while harvesting crops.

Does anyone have an updated version for RE2?

@Mart74 I personally just covered the bottom with most of them. You can also add more to the sides once it is docked in a Helios-sized bay, though you shouldn't try to undock it with them still attached.

Is there any possibility of you making a version for RE2? I always use this module in RE1 and really want it for my first RE2 play-through. PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE?

anyone has an updatet version with full solar pannels 24/24? i tested its enoght to have no fuel consumption, but i cant build:)

functionality wise is great, the way it flies to dock due to the seat is a PITA. spent the past hour trying to dock it due to this

Spectacular job on this module. Love everything about the interior, especially the maintenance access areas. First one isn't even fully setup, and I'm already planning a second.

I absolutely love this module. I can collect as I jetpack under the bays at full speed without ever slowing down. It makes collecting everything SO QUICK! Just keep the bays right above your head and you usually don't even have to look up to grab them. Then just scoot scoot scoot and DONE. I'll fill up a whole one of these with pent bays for late game and then I never have to worry about stopping at my autominers.

@fulGriM^ I'm not sure why it won't dock for you. I just tested in creative and it still fits and docks fine. A few things to check:
1) Is the module the same faction as the carrier? I assume it is if it docked correctly in the rear bay.
2) Did you remove all the ladders and the LCD from the front? Those may be interfering if they were left on.
3) Since the piloting position is awkward you might not have been fully up against the wall of the side module bay. Try aiming a little under (well, "left" with the rotated view) and see if you can get closer, then thrust right to push up against the top deck of the Helios.

1st of all , very good module , i use it in MP , but , it s not dockable on helios MSC side bay , it fit only in the dropship back bay , and i already have a dropship ;( i tried like 45 min to dock it in regular bay , but no way. Any tips ?
Excellent work yet

Module was updated with new Reforged solar panels. They provide passive (free and constant) power generation. I was able to squeeze enough panels in to power the hydroponics bays and fridges, but running anything else will consume fuel. If you leave the gravity generator on auto the whole ship will consume 3 watts while you harvest.
