Description
Presenting the KM6360
In order to meet demands for a more versatile range of engines, Kahrstrom Marine further expands its range with a compact and easy to maintain inline, six cylinder turbocharged marine diesel. The KM6360 is perfect for vessels aiming at slow steaming at a steady pace or pulling some more serious loads - small tugboats, pushers and alike. The KM6360 is a highly versatile engine that will tackle anything you throw at it, while maintaining a good fuel economy and low running costs, all in an easy to use package.

Technical Specifications
Engine type: Twin turbo diesel I6
Measurements (including sub-systems): 7x2.25x3.25m (length, width, height)
Weight: 2403kg
Price: $32970

Set-up
  • Load your own vehicle. Use the grid selection tool to load and paste in the engine. Merge the engine with your vehicle.
  • Connect exhaust (dark grey port on top), fuel (blue pipe on top), coolant (directly to sea, found underneath) and move the throttle where you want it. Last but not least, remember to hook up and adjust the gearbox. I recommend running it at as high of a ratio as possible for optimal fuel efficiency.
  • Start the engine by turning the key and then holding the ignition button until the red indicator light goes out and the engine is running on its own.

A huge thanks to WH1T3_No1SE for letting me use his modular engine microcontroller <3

You may use this in your workshop creations as long as you credit me and link this page. You may NOT upload this creation at its own.

Too little power or too large to fit?
Check out our full range of engines!

Yes, that's fine :)

So, if I use an engine from that series on my submarine or train, etc., I can upload it if I include a link, right?

This engine is a bit outdated unfortunately, uses an old cooling system that doesn't work particularly well. I recommend that you check out one of my newer engines :) I'll see if I can update some of my older engines, but it's tricky to fit my newer cooling systems into old engines so it'd take quite a lot of redesigning.

Yes, any modular engine with a proper ECU will.

will this work with fluid pumps for more power?
Kahrstrom  [author] 9 Oct, 2021 @ 7:45am
Nope, sorry. I haven't made any super small engine. Might make an airplane engine some day, but that'll be a later project if so, I have way too many projects going on right now anyways haha

do have any engine compact to fit in plane
Kahrstrom  [author] 9 Oct, 2021 @ 6:20am
That is correct Night Raider. The fluid ports there take in the air directly from the engine room, but you can obviously connect a pipe there as well.
