ProfitablePlayerPort

Description
Hey there, this mod changes some values from the player-owned ports (the neutral ports you can expand *from the base game) to make it more profitable; so it would pay for the investment faster or perhaps as a side income while you travel around and do other stuff. Like cartography, or completing all the groves.

In addition it also lets you gain more passive EXP for the crew assigned in the port, so you can get that second or third team going - which is kind of an overkill tbh.

Might count as "cheaty" mod, use at your own discretion.

Changes from this mod:

[EXP gain]
The gain is boosted to 20XP/day (600/Month). (was 1Xp/day, 30Xp/Month)
With training ground, it becomes 35XP/Day (1050/Month). (was +4Xp/Day, I think)

Thoughts:
The cost to make a building is 10,000G (20,000G training ground), that is around, 5 essence gem (5x2000G) that gives 1500XP. I think 600xp/month is acceptable, and mid/late game you can just swim in XP anyway.

Also decent method to build your extra crew/Team XP.

[GOLD gain]
The base gain is reduced to 0 (was 6) per facility.
The Gain per XP of the crew is now 1G/150XP. (was 1g/2000xp).

Thoughts:
to get to something like 100G/day (3000G/Month), you need 15,000 XP. That's like 100,000G Worth of essence gem.
With the boosted XP gain rate, without any Gems, you need around 25 months (15 Months with Training ground). I think that is reasonable, and the earlier you build it, the faster you get the benefit for long term.

You have 4-5 facilities, that's around 15,000G/Month per port.

It is still expensive, but it gives stable income monthly in addition to you trading around the world (which takes around 1-2 weeks, for 80K++ G monthly ) but not immediate riches (i hope). The gain is also uncapped; so in the long, long game, it'd adds up.

I think it is quite fine value, considering, at some point, it would be enough monthly allowance to buy anything you might (still) need at the late game.

Which is, idk, Hundreds of Essence Gems? Hundreds of scout rifle (I don't think there is anything else you can throw money at?)? You probably already break the game at that point, so this is just an alternative to trading around the world every month.

Yes, you can sit back in the port for ages and collect profit. Whatever rocks your boat.

Enjoy.

To be honest, sorry, I don't remember them. It has been a long while since I last mod or play the game.

The wiki however, give these answers (supply port):
Avenholdm,Brames,Cape Roque,Cape Thalem,Darvas' Rock,Northpoint.,Sol Anand,Trusqa
*I am not too sure though.

What are the neutral ports that are vanilla...only asking cause I have some mods that add new ports that happen to be neutral.

No problem, and yes, I see the issue you pointed out. Edited the mod description so it will be clearer.

I gotcha then. You mean the base game preexisting "neutral ports" then. Thought maybe the mod add some new unique one or something like that Like a few of the other ones I have do.What I read on here implied there was ONE SPECIFIC one this mod works at and not a variety then.

It is vanilla content, just to be clear. All i did is just modify the return rate to be more profitable.

Heya, there are several numbers of "neutral" port in the game.
They start as empty ports, and you can pay/invest for them to be built for your own personalized port/home.

I don't remember all the exact locations unfortunately,

I get that it says in the description that this effects "the neutral port you can expand" but where exactly IS that particular port AT? Might want to add that to the description page to be more clear than just "oh the neutral port"

@Ryu
I have notified the dev about it and it might be vanilla bug. If you want, you can tell him about it (which building/which character/what steps to cause that issue) in the forum or the discord channel to make it easier for him to check.
