Description
Goals:
To add in more complex policies to make for richer and more challenging gameplay.

Trajan Update is Live:
This update brings in support for the latest version of Stellaris, as well as numerous bugfixes. This version also will be updated on the 20th, and add in several new policies.

Future Update (TBD):
Features to be determined, though rest assured this mod will still be updated!

Scope:
Currently adds in eight new Policies: Cultural Policy, Welfare Policy, Law&Order, Civil Liberty Policy, Education Policy, Drug Policy, Religious Policy, and Worker's Rights. More will be added.

Cultural Policy
The cultural policy allows you to either embrace multiculturalism, which increases immigration but lowers overall population happiness or value your majority culture in the empire and incur a immigration penalty.

Civil Liberty Policy
The civil liberty policy will allow you to either curb your citizen's rights in exchange for cheaper edicts (due to more centralized control of legal system) or prioritize your citizens happiness in exchange for slightly more expensive edicts.

Welfare Policy
This one is kinda simplistic right now and I'm hoping to add more depth but basically it allows you to trade lower consumer goods output for higher happiness.

Law and Order Policy
The law and order policy determines how effective your society is at fighting crime and suppressing piracy. However, a armed police force can cause unhappiness in your populous.

Education Funding
The higher the funding, the more research power you have. However, higher funding levels cost more and more influence.

Drug Policy
There are three drug policies. Banned, Medicinal Only, and Recreational. Allowing recreational drugs will result in higher happiness and slightly lower crime since drug cartels are put out of business, but will also result in overall lower miner and technician productivity.

Religious Policies
Some religious policies will result in a more spiritualist or materialist society. Currently, that is all they do. I'd like to add more depth to this in the future.

Worker's Rights
These policies determine how free your workers are. A pro-employer policy will result in higher factory output but lower stability. A pro-worker policy will result in the inverse.

Hi! Does this mod fundamentally alter the base happiness values?
Somehow, despite utilizing literally every positive happiness bonus I could find,
I'm still having an extremely hard time maintaining stability and happiness for even the easiest to please demographics.

For Religious Policies maybe have Unity vs Tech(/Consumer goods?) for Materialist vs Spiritualist. With levels adding more bonus on the side they chose but more malus for higher levels i.e. lv2 Spiritualist policy gives more +% bonus for Unity but also adds a -% for Research or Happiness

Hi
I just noticed that Light education gives a plus 5% increase however moderate only gives a 1% and high gives a 1.5%

Hey guys! The next update is making good progress. I'm also proud to announce I'm working on two other mods, one of which will add some new civics in, as well as another that will add some new origins in. The next update will feature all the religious policies of my older mod, 'By Their Will' as well as bugfixes for existing policies. It will also feature 4 additional new policies which I think you guys will enjoy. Hang in there! The new update will likely drop at the beginning of next month sometime, and will be 3.0 compatible. The two other mods won't drop until later this year, but hope you are looking forward to them!

These are features which should absolutely be in the base game, but of course are not, because PDX either doesn't care, is stupid, is lazy, or possibly all three. Very promising sounding mod, I look forward to trying it out!
