Difficulty & AI (1.37)

Description
Overview
This mod primarily focused on Difficulty, AI and Balance, as well as adding bits of content that are in line with a base game. The goal is to push Difficulty as much as possible while still keeping the game fun and balanced.

Generally AI Difficulty bonuses are halved, instead Difficulty ramps up over the course of the game. AI logic is overhauled in every possible aspect of the game, to avoid giving the AI any direct bonuses as much as possible.


On Normal difficulty the game will feel similar to vanilla but harder, on Very Hard the game escalates over time and looks like a player game. I'm recommending Very Hard if you are looking for a challenge, or if it's a Coop game.

Lucky nations option is recommended. Most bonuses are halved to make it less annoying to deal with early on.

Incompatible with most mods. If you are looking for AI mod that would be more compatible, look for Xorme AI and comparability patches for specific mods.

TLDR difference with Xorme AI. This is an AI centric light overhaul mod. More breathing room at the start of the game. Less pronounced direct bonuses for AI.

hi can you make a stand alone mod that removes the ai's hidden cheats. I am not talking about the ai's stat buffs and making it more powerful throughout the game. What I am talking about is the ai's incredible rng (or perhaps the players built in terrible rng) when besieging forts and in dice rolls in battle. It completely ruins close wars and causes me to constantly have to save scum because the ai gets the 7% siege and i can't get the 57% siege. I would be so grateful.

@Aaronnum I You will be lucky if the game even launches with both enabled.

If I understand correctly from the files then these are the scaling modifiers right?

Hard: 10% FL in discovery, 15% FL in reformation, 20% FL in absolutism, 25% in revolutions
Nightmare: 15% FL in discovery, 25% FL in reformation, 35% FL in absolutism, 45% in revolutions

In addition I see some modifiers regarding all_power_cost, advisor_cost, build_cost, gov_cap, etc.

something about the mod seems to be disabling take mandate of heaven cb on oirat, I tested on a new save with no other mods and the cb doesn't exist at game start
