This is one my most used template. I've used it in probably all of my videos since 2015. It's a motion capture animation of a person standing still (fingers were not mocapped). I always called them 'standing stills'. And while the name does not shine with originality - the usefulness of them definitely compensates that with flying colors.

It's very simple and can save up a lot of time. Just load up the *.dmx file, apply it to the model and give the model any pose you want using motion editor. For a more detailed tutorial check the Youtube video I've attached.

It can be used for:
-intense close-ups;
-close-ups of hands holding something;
-sniper or anyone else aiming at something;
-character sleeping;
-character meditating;
-character watching a movie, etc.

The possibilies are limitless. Especially if you use locks, playhead and all the advanced stuff of the motion editor.

Get creative!

P.S. Don't mind the posture of the characters with the applied template. During the conversion proccess from mocap software to 3ds max and later to SFM, for some reason, the spine turns a couple degrees in. My posture in real life is very good and does not represent what happened after mocap. lol

Ya it happened again which is weird all of the other models seem to be absolutely fine with theirs

make sure you used proper scout .dmx file. i've used these exact files for 6 years now and this never happened

So i used it on the hwm scout model but one of its arm looks really fucked and no amount of rotating is fixng it
