I suggest you review your mod and perhaps make it compatible with melee weapon unlocking mods (at least with the riot shield). Since the other weapons can be easily found by exploring. on the map
You could try the following mod, which already includes the ability to unlock the riot shield ONLY in the game's official campaigns: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2109489322
@Drunk Headcrab
I just tried your mod and it's partly not "entirely true"
Since having a mod that unlocks melee weapons means they won't be unlockable (as you said), but what I'm referring to is that your mod also changes the skin tone of other infected corpse piles.
For example, on the same map where the corpse piles appear, which Nick says are people (which is the 3rd map of "The Parish"), if you leave the shelter, there's a military vehicle and next to it, there's a pile of corpses that will also change skin tone if you have your mod enabled (just deactivate it and check it out for yourself).
So, your mod both partially complies and partially does not comply with what you're saying.
