Human Corpses for The Parish

Part 2/2:
I suggest you review your mod and perhaps make it compatible with melee weapon unlocking mods (at least with the riot shield). Since the other weapons can be easily found by exploring. on the map

You could try the following mod, which already includes the ability to unlock the riot shield ONLY in the game's official campaigns: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2109489322
Part 1/2:
@Drunk Headcrab
I just tried your mod and it's partly not "entirely true"
Since having a mod that unlocks melee weapons means they won't be unlockable (as you said), but what I'm referring to is that your mod also changes the skin tone of other infected corpse piles.
For example, on the same map where the corpse piles appear, which Nick says are people (which is the 3rd map of "The Parish"), if you leave the shelter, there's a military vehicle and next to it, there's a pile of corpses that will also change skin tone if you have your mod enabled (just deactivate it and check it out for yourself).
So, your mod both partially complies and partially does not comply with what you're saying.

how does bein' so right feel, Nick?
Piškóta 15 Nov, 2024 @ 10:46pm
that can help me with modding thx
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 15 Nov, 2024 @ 1:41pm
Because riot shield unlockers modify the mission files, just like most melee unlockers do
Piškóta 15 Nov, 2024 @ 12:51pm
why does this corrupt with riot shield unlockers?
Killa Klappa 29 Sep, 2024 @ 1:32am
this dialogue is disgustingly rare, but the one time I accidentally had this mod disabled NOW they're on the topic on the army shooting people.

Everyone really loved wearing white tops and jeans, Huh..
E3 metrocop matejaxx 25 Sep, 2024 @ 12:41am
could you make Human on any Corpses pile
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 13 Aug, 2024 @ 6:24pm
It doesn't. It only adds the mission file, which is what makes it show up in the custom campaign menu selection, but doesn't actually add any maps. If you do want to play dark parish, make sure you download that before you download this, so the mission file from this mod can overwrite.
RageGamer 13 Aug, 2024 @ 1:52pm
Why does this add the dark parish campaign
Melperto 7 Jul, 2024 @ 12:30pm
the problem with this mod is that now all these corpses wear white shirts instead of being colored like the original models

he was talking about the body bags that are next to the trailer.

whenever i use this addon the original corpses mod becomes missing textures is there a reason for that?
gamer_zane 29 Dec, 2023 @ 5:44pm
can you make one that replaces all of the bodies
𝖙𝖔𝖒 𝖜𝖊𝖘𝖍 16 Nov, 2023 @ 9:20am
it would be perfect if there would be mroe faces and a veriety of clothing
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 25 Aug, 2023 @ 7:01pm
I don't mean to be "that guy" but the zombies in Left 4 Dead are living humans infected with a virus that makes them crazy and mutated, basically. They are sick, yes, but not undead.
NNukea 25 Aug, 2023 @ 6:53pm
It makes sense for them to look like zombies because zombies are living corpses, making them rot dude to being dead walking, giving them that zombie-like look, the corpses, have been there for a while, causing them to rot, making them also look like zombies
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 21 Aug, 2023 @ 7:21am
Fair point. We all got our preferences. I personally wanted a visual distinction between the corpses on this map though, it's been a pet peeve since 2010 lol.
Neuwey331 21 Aug, 2023 @ 2:29am
I prefer the vanilla because the coloring of the skin make it look like they have been dead for a while and not recent.
Lettuce9018 2 Jun, 2023 @ 2:26pm
is this meant to affect all of the corpse piles in the parish?
Canibuss 1 Jul, 2022 @ 10:32am
Okay yeah it does work with the other corpse mods
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 30 Jun, 2022 @ 3:17am
Yeah, it should. Let me know if it doesn't.
MeryMeryl 8 May, 2022 @ 5:31pm
and the reason why the the skin on the bodies are pale because those are carriers. and the skin of carriers when dead will turn pale in a curtain number of days.
LOGANN THE BIG ICE CREAM 31 Jan, 2022 @ 6:14am
this looks better then the normal one
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 12 Dec, 2021 @ 7:56pm
If it actually changes mission files, then yes.
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 17 Sep, 2021 @ 7:54pm
Harmless conflict. Both files are exactly the same so no actual errors should occur. The workshop system will tell you there's a conflict no matter what.
The_Real_Grant_Macdonald 17 Sep, 2021 @ 7:50pm
it conflicts with the dark parish remastered is it because they added it in or something?
The Holy Cobalt Communications 17 Sep, 2021 @ 4:19pm
ok cool
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 17 Sep, 2021 @ 3:45pm
That's.... a good idea actually. I could look into incorporating that if I do an update. Or someone can take that idea and run, that would work too.
The Holy Cobalt Communications 17 Sep, 2021 @ 3:32pm
what about a human zombie mix?
Adrian Shephard kicking your ass 31 Aug, 2021 @ 5:26am
IT MAKES THE CORPSES IN PARISH LOOKS MORE LIKE HUMAN
ЛАНДШАФТ 26 Jun, 2021 @ 1:40am
Finally it makes sense :D
Blair 8 Jun, 2021 @ 10:58pm
Damn
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 8 Jun, 2021 @ 2:53pm
No.
Blair 8 Jun, 2021 @ 10:23am
Does it work with other map ?
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 6 Jun, 2021 @ 8:15pm
The only harmful conflicts I can think of would be melee lists, and even then that shouldn't be an issue because I directly copied Dark Parish's mission file so that it would work with this mod. In any case, I'm sure it isn't game breaking.
★JΛKΣ★ 6 Jun, 2021 @ 8:14pm
Ye I'm using this now. Though I'm trying remove conflicting files with Dark Parish. Idk if that's possible without messing up either mods. But ye if/when u edit to add more clothes maybe u can remove those conflicts?
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 6 Jun, 2021 @ 8:08pm
I would edit the texture and give them more clothing variations, but I'm hella lazy. I might do it later though.
★JΛKΣ★ 6 Jun, 2021 @ 8:07pm
It seems they only shot folks who wore white lmao
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 4 Jun, 2021 @ 4:56pm
They don't turn THAT blue unless they are really old, and by that point they would probably turn green/yellow with a lot of exposed flesh. I also assume New Orleans was freshly hit by the infection, judging by the strong military presence (with some surviving personnel near the bridge) and such.
indigo blue 4 Jun, 2021 @ 4:52pm
Don't dead bodies turn blue after a while, after death? They just looked like old corpses to me, not infected.
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 30 May, 2021 @ 6:37pm
That should be a harmless file conflict. It's common with campaigns.
★JΛKΣ★ 30 May, 2021 @ 12:56pm
still conflict with dark parish
Drunk Headcrab  [author] 5 May, 2021 @ 7:47pm
Hmm.. I'll look into it. For now, Parish seems to be the only map that has those specific "oh no normal people dead" voicelines. As for dead people next to supplies, not much I can do there without editing the map. In the mean time, this should alleviate the weird disconnect between bodies OBVIOUSLY still being zombies, and the survivors stating otherwise.
Virscelestus 5 May, 2021 @ 7:43pm
yeah yeah like all those bodies in fetal position next to supplies or the people who killed themselves sitting at their chairs?
Virscelestus 5 May, 2021 @ 7:37pm
no I just definitely recall there being a couple more instances of dead uninfected outside of parish. I cant recall with certainty but ill keep an eye out and report back when I find them
