Description
DISCLAIMER: Before subbing to this please DO take vision of the known issues section, there Is a minor visual problem that, depending on your preferences, could be insignificant or completely immersion breaking.

This mod adds a new Monstrous Cavalry unit for the Skaven roster:

-The Brood Horror Riders; campaign cap set at 2

You will be able to recruit this unit from a Tier 4 Laboratory, notice that you'll also require a Tier 3 Clan Armoury in your province.

The idea behind this was to make a special cavalry unit for Skaven.
Initially I thought that It would have been nice to have something close to the Rat Riders from White Dwarf #317 but since there are no mount animations for the Wolf Rats, I picked the Brood Horrors.
I still think that Rat Riders are totally doable though, maybe with a modified version of the Goblin Wolf Riders animation or something like that, sadly I have no experience with custom animations.
Since making this unit with the full Brood Horror or mounted hero stats was not an option (too broken), I had to make major stat changes.
Right now they are tougher than your average Brood Horror but have half of his offensive power.
Despite all of this, they are still very strong if used properly and their K/D ratio can be impressive (especially against low tier units).
Of course they are not invincible: with the right army comp of anti-large units or strong high rank units they will go down pretty quickly if overwhelmed, so don't be overconfident.

*BALANCE*

This one was messy, we are talking about a single monster unit changed into a monstrous cavalry regiment in a faction that should not have access to cavalry units.
Plus Skaven: not exactly one of the most balanced faction in the game if you ask me.
So please, DON'T BE SHY: if you have balance concerns let me know and ALLOW ME to help you.
Disliking this to the ground without leaving feedback Is not gonna help anyone, just saying.
Keep in mind that I have tested them in custom battles only though.
That means that I'm not taking into account Lord's Campaign Bonuses.
If you have suggestions for possible buffs or nerfs let me know down in the comment section!
I'm open to changes!
NOTICE: The units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
I'm playing the game with 100+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want the Brood Riders in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

-For some odd reason there seems to be an occasional desync between the riders and their mounts during battle.
It doesn't happen while the units are moving so I'm pretty sure that It must be tied to a single frame of a specific attack move that doesn't happen every time, so a really specific attack in the unit's attacks pool.
It's very brief at normal speed so you'll hardly notice but you are going to see It clearly with slow motion.
It's kinda weird since I used specific files tied to the hero with the Brood Horror Mount, but the desync Is in fact there and I have no idea of what to do to fix It.

*UPDATES POLICY*

No idea.
I don't have the The Twisted & The Twilight DLC so I don't know anything about It.
In fact I don't even know if there Is a specific table to assign custom units to his Laboratory or if marking the unit as Moulder monster Is enough.

-"What if this unit Is compatible with Throt's laboratory?"
Here's a rhetorical question: did you see what a single entity Brood Horror can do with Cellular Instability?
Yes, yes you do.
Do what you wish but do not come back here complaining about how you destroyed the Old World after putting this unit inside the Flesh Laboratory, thank you.

Stig's skaven unit pack and ChaosRobie's Moulder Menagerie both contain the giant rats, if you would like examples of how they work.

@zerg93, You could however make Rat Riders on Giant Rats, if you so wished.

From what I can tell, all of the giant rat units on the workshop are technically just reskins of the Brood Horror as both use the same animations. Theoretically you could make a cavalry unit through this method.

And it would be 100% lore accurate as rat riders are said to be mounted upon giant rats, not wolf rats.

@AirborneSeals Clanrats, Goblin riders and Wolf rats have unique animation sets and skeletons which are not compatible with each other.
While I don't exclude the possibility to have Goblin riders on Wolf rats by forcefully using the Goblin riders animation, having Clanrats or other Skaven units on Wolf rats It's another story.
For all I know the Skaven have only two rider animations: Brood Horror and Rat Ogre mount.
And I think that by now you already guess It but: Brood Horrors and Wolf rats have different and unique animation set and skeleton which are not compatible with each other.
The only thing you can achieve by forcefully putting together models that are tied to different skeletons and animations Is a highly distorted and broken model.

Are they custom animations? I was just thinking of putting the skaven model over the goblin and the wolf rat model over the wolf.
Don't know if that's possible though.
