I actually looked for similar issues, but I haven't found any yet.
Maybe the server admin was just stupid.
But your new update was good. Thanks for listening.
I must also honestly say that you are the first and only person to have ever mentioned VON. As such I cannot see this being much of an issue for the playerbase that uses this mod. Even I've never had any issues despite using this mod ever since its release (and before).
However, it is still a desirable feature to be able to turn VoN enableChannel on and off with addonOption regardless of disableChannels.
It would be much better if it was a 3-item LIST setting that would get the default setting and also allow for force on and force off.
i.e:
SideChat [Default, Force On, Force Off]
SideVON [Default, Force On, Force Off]
on addonOption
Anyway, thanks for your quick mod update. <3
After new update and adding "disableChannels" appropriately, VoN appears to be disabled correctly. Thank you.
Btw, I'd not using disableChannels and only using disableVoN ever before.
In vanilla, When disableVoN = 1; in server.cfg, VoN was apparently disabled and can not be used anywhere, including in the lobby (it was actually being sent, but it acted as if everyone was muted maybe)
Until now, that was works fine (when with out this mod).
But if doing "enableChannel" again in a script, disableVoN was overwritten internally, and it seems that a bug in Arma3 itself occurred, where VoN could be used in the everywhere (and it's not showing the who sending. very bugged Bohemia...)
Also, since disabledVoN is not set to false in channelEnabled, it seems that the new script does not disable all VoN as it is. I never noticed this before.
This addon overwrite server VON restriction.
Can you Adds Enable/Disable VON Option?
