Machine Cult Origin

Description
Ever been disgusted by the weakness of your flesh, but still felt the need to worship the machine spirit? Now you can be spiritualist and at the same time embrace robotics and cybernetics.

What This Mod Does

The core piece of this mod is the new Machine Cult origin. It is especially designed for spiritualist empires, that want to utilize robots. The spiritualist ethic itself is still a bit reluctant to embrace robotics, but with the new Forge Temple buildings which replace vanilla temples, you can assemble pops and generate spiritualist attraction at the same time.

Instead of the usual traditionalist faction, a machine cult empire gives rise to a variant of that faction, which instead of demonizing robots is in favor of controlled utilization of this divine technology.

Cybernetic ascension is enhanced with new advanced cybernetic traits, which can be researched after finishing cybernetic traditions.

Synergies

The Machine Cult origin synergizes well with typically spiritualist civics, like the Death Cult, Reanimated Armies and Exalted Priesthood. Raise the dead as mechanized servitors, or turn your religion into a mechano-death cult combining the unique features of both playstyles.

Compatibility

I try to touch as few vanilla files as possible, but to achieve smooth playability, I had to modify a few buildings and the vanilla traditionalist faction.

Mods that change vanilla buildings or factions may cause issues like both factions appearing or both building variants being available to build.

Known Issue
The pop assembly of tech priests is shown as 0 in job yields, but it does work. Each job adds 0.25 pop assembly, which adds up to 0.5 for a tier 1 temple, and 1.5 at tier 3.

please update this. I don't want to buy a dlc made with AI to play as the Adeptus Mechanicus.

do you plan to update this? because per my understanding of cybernetic creed it only focuses on cybernetic ascension not synthetic, thanks!

does it still works after the machine age updates?

I played with this mod enabled as empire of other origin and it prevented me from upgrading my Robot Assembly Plant

So this is broken, it seems. Robot pops simply do not get built and no such pops appear in the empire species panel.

The devs are getting very jelly

The Cybernetic Creed looks rather similar to this. They even added the custom factions. I'll have to see whether to update or retire the mod once the DLC is out.

Oh yeah, I've been using this mod as a reference point in discussion for the upcoming DLC. It's grown up so fast... lol

love the fact that this is essentially the next dlc

I assume it might be either an incompatibility with another mod or because of the new version but the robot assembly of Machine Temples is broken. It shows that there is monthly robot assembly but there is no progress bar and no way to select what species is being assembled, haven't noticed any actual new robots popping up either.
