[VOID] Harlot Kraken

Based on research findings, Void Krakens are arguably the oldest form of cosmic life in this galaxy. Apparently, they are the distant ancestors of both Leviathans and Dragons, which are found in many systems. Due to the fact that for billions of years their biology has not undergone much change, one significant flaw remains in their instincts. Krakens do not prefer to chase prey moving at a stable speed, even if that speed is low. Most likely, this behavior is a consequence of underdeveloped energy conservation organs. However, evolution did not stand still, and during this time some of these alien beasts developed other ways of hunting.


Harlot is a subspecies that has adapted very well to a sedentary way of hunting. This animal moves very slowly, waiting for potential prey to enter its attack zone. After that, the creature opens its colossal mouth and releases an overloaded beams of concentrated stored energy into the victim. This beams creates a gravitational field of incredible power, stunning even large space animals and overloading spaceship engines. After stunning, the gravitational field of the beam begins to rapidly attract prey to the Kraken, pulling it straight into the mouth.

By itself, the beam's gravitational field does not damage the hull, but this kraken has another weapon that can significantly damage even powerful ships: plasma breath, scattering glowing clusters over a huge area, bursting on impact. The accuracy of these projectiles is extremely low, but the plasma breath covers a large area, allowing a Harlot to deal damage to multiple ships at once.

When the prey is finally delivered to the mouth by the beam, two lower jaws, each the size of a corvette, fall on it. There's NO WAY a spaceship can survive THIS.

This monster is capable of perform a gravity thrust that gives it a very good acceleration, but seems to not using this in hunting.


Harlot is one of the most dangerous Void Kraken found, and the strongest and most dangerous in its category. This beast has the most powerful jaws of all Kraken, surpassing even larger species, as well as an incredibly strong protective barrier, which, however, regenerates slowly.


Strengths: Massive gravity beams, Plasma Breath, Incredibly powerful jaws, tough shell and energy barrier.

Weaknesses: extremely low maneuverability, slow regeneration of the energy barrier.

Conclusion: Avoid at all costs. Engage in combat exclusively as part of an attacking group, carefully assign roles and practice maneuvers.



IMPORTANTS:

1) This build has a special function - "Player Hunting Instinct". This function works like an autopilot when build is in "Space Pirates" faction, that leads a build to the churrent player position if player in 1000 range. "Player Hunting Instinct" can be used for encounter simulations. Also, when this build activates its autopilot, it'll start open/close its jaws automatically and shoot Gravity Beams and Plasma Breath at the target. So, it can be used as a full-fledged NPC.

2) This build doesn't use any DLCs.
