Tainted Blood - The Forsaken

Description
What is this mod?

This mod is designed to work as a modular add-on to "Tainted Blood" and it's requirements. It started out as a way to alter the world of kenshi according to my own preferences. Nowadays it is designed to enhance some form of gameplay, namely my gameplay... If that happens to align with yours, very well, otherwise I'm sorry to hear that.

Basically the mod will add some Custom Umbra NPC's with custom dialogue, and by custom dialogue, I mean they each have a recruitment dialogue, in which each NPC-recruit reacts to the player character based on gender, race or both. They each have a backstory and either you will like the style I'm aiming for, or you'll find I'm a very talentless writer... either way, I'm open to feedback and criticism, but ultimately it's my story, my narrative, my kenshi.

Aside from the (6?) new NPC's scattered around the world, I also beefed up the flotsam ninja's and their town. You can buy several houses there now and they feel like an actual faction rather then a footnote. This might not be to everyone's liking, but I happen to like Moll and her ninjas very much, and I allways found them lacking. Personally I hate the Holy nation, and allways end up murdering each and every one of them. So for an Umbra - Narko-gifted band of rebels, flotsam felt like the best fit... If you'd prefer something else, it won't impact your game much, aside from flotsam village being a tad more interresting.

I personally play my mods with Living World enabled, and haven't messed around with World states, so my mod shouldn't conflict with those mods.

For Genesis Users:

I created a conflict free version of this mod; Tainted Blood - The Forsaken (Genesis Ed.). If you use Genesis, or would rather not have any edits to the base game aside from my custom NPC's, use that one instead... Keep in mind you do still need the Genesis Patch for it to work with Genesis.

Word of Warning
This mod is WIP, as in I might add things in the future or not, but should function perfectly well as it is... However, this mod was originally much more complex with many more mod dependencies, which I've tried to remove to the best of my abilities to make it standalone... There might be some odd happening here or there, but shouldn't make your game unstable by any means. Just keep in mind I might have overlooked some detail during the rewriting.

As allways, feedback is welcome

I understand the storyline. It would be very cool to have a Narko avatar in world somewhere, either to fight, ally with or both. But no pressure. The mod is fine as it is.

@azrieljohnson sorry for the late reply. The idea is that each Umbra has been "kissed" by Narco herself. Battered, bruised and broken people see her in their dreams... and when they wake they have crimson eyes and an unquenchable thirst. It's Narco's curse/revenge on the abusive people of Kenshi. I could make an avatar-like character but it'd take much work, especially the dialogue trees and I simply don't have the time (or interest) atm. I'm glad to see you're enjoying the mod though.

Update many months later. I found Lexa.
I had a thought... is there a "Master" Umbra, one that turned them all? If not, what would it take to get you to add one?

@azrieljohnson atm the mod is on hold, unfortunately. The NPC you're looking for is Lexa . She should be in bars iirc. Glad you enjoy the mod.

I didn't know there was one in Mongrel. I'll have to keep looking.
I've found G, D, N, K, & R. I'm in Mongrel right now. Totally missed that you suggested it the first time. I'll try to find them. Will you add more?

@azrieljohnson Dust bandit tower, mongrel and the flotsam ninja HQ are places you should check out :)

I've only found two so far. G----- and D-----. D shows up freaking everywhere, G I've only seen in one place. Any hints on where the others might show up or is it random?

@masterj4695 thank you for the kind words :), always nice to be appreciated. And I do intend to expand upon this mod(-series), alas I can not say when. Currently I'm working on a different project, for Rimworld. Seeing as it is almost as big in scope as these mods, you can imagine it takes quite alot of time off my plate. As for your idea of curse transmission... I assure you that it was my very first idea when I started designing this mod :p. Alas the only way you can transfer a character from one race to another, is through some very heavy save editing. Currently there is no known method to edit a character race aside from this, and it is very unlikely a mod allowing to do just that will come out, as it would require heavy scripting. So no, I will not be able to add that feature, although you are absolutely right, it would've been amazing :p

Hey man I love this mod you did a great job with the dialogue this is definitely what I've been looking for...the mod is already the best one I've subbed to you said you might add some things if you do is possible to add "turning" a member of your party or inflicting them with the same curse? It's not needed but man would it be cool lol
