SOG Secret Wars - Alive Coop

Description
Mission is built to be played by 1-32 players Coop.

The mission is dynamic and persistent, with Drongo's AO mod creating tasks

Situation:

To the North is the DMZ and North Vietnam, where PAVN operates in occupation mode.

West is Cambodia and Laos, where the VC are set to asymmetrically but with PAVN presence around the trail, they have complete control.

Trackers are operating around the DMZ, Cambodia, and Laos, they will keep calling in reinforcements when they discover you. All tracking areas have specific reinforcement teams/units assigned to them depending on the map location.

Support:

Each S3 shack has 2 arsenals, one unrestricted (use ACE interact to access), and one for white listed SOG DLC gear only.

Transport and CAS are on call using the Simplex mod, you require a radio to call them using ACE interact.
Use smoke to signal LZ locations.

CAS, Transport, and FAC, aircraft available at Pleiku Airbase, and FOB 1

The HQ building can be used to abort unwanted missions.

Zeus Slot available for players

Mission:

Conduct patrols in the west, look for installations, and also intel on bodies, when you read the intel it will temporarily show you the location of a hostile installation. Civilians can be interacted with and questioned, while automatic intel reports will be generated slowly.

Tasks will be generated automatically, and if desired you can create more tasks using Alive. Killing hostiles, and completing missions gains you victory points. Killing civilians, and failing missions contributes to loss of political will.

I will take a look at the new Simplex module, but if I do have to update it then I will update alllll the maps, that will take a while.

I would love to create a final version for all 3 SOG maps, and have it work so that players can select in the parameters what Alive version they want (medical and no medical), switching on headless client spawning or server side spawning, and other options like that.

It would reduce the amount of versions per map from 4 each map to just 1. But honestly I have no idea how to do that or if its possible.

Any help would be great, and honestly people are free to edit these missions and upload them. All I did was create a mission that I would enjoy playing then uploaded it for everyone, its free to edit as people see fit.

I took a look at the mission file, I think I finally found the correct version. This is my first version so I actually do not have LAMBS modules enabled in the map. Thank you for pointing that out! I am going to go ahead and disable it as a requirement, if people want they can still enable it.

There is also a specific LAMBS SOG RPG module out there that works well with these missions. I highly recommend trying it.

As for the missions, this specific version is the only one that has DMP missions . All the others rely on Alive, and player initiative to do their own thing.

I have the missions set to spawn when players interact with the radio behind the arsenal. Its marked on the map, just give the mission a minute to generate. After that the radio will have the option to spawn missions (both the HALO jump and mission spawner are hocked up to the same radio).

Trying to get these to work, right now missions dont auto create and alot of the fobs have little to no interaction? Is this a mod order or compiling issue or an outdated module issue? for example, simplex has a new version out some of the lambs are redundant.

Also, if you ever want a hand compiling all the various maps you have out there and updating them let me know, I do alot of modding in other games but Ive worked in arma mission making before(I created my own script for helo landing when smoke is spotted before one was available but I never released). cheers and good work!

I tested it out, the arsenals are working. Try ACE interacting with the crates, that should be how you access the arsenal. Also the spawn points depend on which version you are trying, I have so many of these I am having a hard time remembering which is which.

But in general all the FOBs are still under blufor control in all versions. The latest version just has all the assets in one location to make the performance better. You can still use other FOBs as a base if you want, they all still have the arsenals in place.

The older versions of this map should have a spawn point in each FOB. If not Zeus slot is able to place down a spawn point in those FOBs if you need to.

So... I have been trying to play this, and it seems all the arsenals have absolutely nothing in them and all the spawn points are pretty much disable except a single one. What happened. Did this get updated? Because this was my favorite mod, now i feel that its pretty unplayable.

I guess if it helps troubleshooting the ones that don't work I'll say this; I couldn't see the map in those, I only saw the respawn hud that'd be on top of the map normally. That's probably indicative of a certain type of error but I know nothing about arma modding.

Yeah, I've appropriately switched out DMP/DAO depending on which mission I'm trying to get to work. No battleye either, if I got this to work I'd host it on a private dediserver with friends and we've never used BE. It's not a DLC issue, other SOG missions work and it's not an ALIVE issue, other ALIVE missions work as well.

Are you using DMP with this scenario? This version is the first one I made, and it uses DAO instead.

Same issue as the guy below, respawn disabled once I get past the lobby, hosting as a lan server through server browser, this and the DMP mission
