Simple Tank Weapons

A simple addition of mostly WWII tank related weapons.

This is essentially my second mod I made right after custom tank tracks. It is nothing too fancy as it is a bunch of WWII themed tank based custom shell cannons and a few machine gun mounts. I'll probably add more weapons over the course of time (depending on how I feel). Do keep in mind that I'm not a pro in regards to using Blender or modding, so it might be rough around the edges and slightly imbalanced (even though I did try to balance things in regards to cost and effectiveness).

The cannons can be compared to slightly more expensive (and more robust) simple weapon custom shell casemat cannons with a far more narrow aiming arc (obviously...seeing that you have to provide a turret for them). However, a major difference to the simple weapon casemat cannons would be the smaller caliber (as opposed to 130mm and above) and the ability to use shells of up to 1.5m length (or even 2m with the Tiger's main cannon)... but like I said. You're still stuck with something around 40 to 88 mm in regards to caliber, so that should be fine. Though the machine guns might be a tad OP to be honest. I made the MG34 fire with 900 RPM and gave it somewhat realistic velocity, which in terms of FtD means that it is quite overpowered for a machine gun... also I tried to adjust the other machine guns in a similar fashion to their firing rate etc.

Added two anti tank cannons that don't use custom shells but rather fire really fast armour penetrating rounds (at the cost of using up more ammo, having a slightly higher cost and having a bad field of aim). These are basically for dedicated tank destroyers.

And whatever I feel like at the moment... though I'll probably stick to the WWII theme as for now. I took the inspiration for this mod from another mod I favoured (made by AWG) from another game (Space Engineers), whilst being part of a group of people, who enjoy making weapons of war (mostly tanks) to share with others of the group (or kill them with in weekly battles to the death in WWI,WWII, cold war/modern settings depending on the event).

Yes I know it says SE as in Space Engineers... but they also talk about other games like War Thunder, Hearts of Iron and Stellaris etc. Even if you don't like SE you can just hang out with a bunch of people just to chat about all kinds of stuff on Discord... also they don't mind you posting builds from games like Empyrion, FtD and so forth as long as you don't overdo it... as in going on a spamming spree with your screenshots. Also it should be something original that you made (duh).


Why am I posting this you may ask? Because I like building stuff (and occasionally blowing it up), so it makes sense to link related stuff of similar nature, even if it is from an entirely different game. Anyways... enough of the essay already.
