I don't know why it doesn't work for you. it's just one texture. And the path for it hasn't changed.

I've updated the version number so the launcher doesn't complain, but there's nothing else to update.
If you're having issues, move the mod to the bottom of the playset. And don't use it with total conversion mods.

Hi @Agami, the mod no longer works, could you update it?

After the 1.12 version update, there were bugs in the mod. When reducing the line of sight to parchment map mode. Light and shadow cause the text on the map to disappear.

This is perfect! what the vanilla map should have been.

The Fallen Eagle: Paper Map does the same thing, but adds names of the seas/oceans.

Actually forget what I said about not loading a newer map from a later mod because the game obviously is as it blitzes your flatmap no matter what load order I use, so there's something else going on that causes the BMT flatmap.dds to blitz yours.

@agami sorry for the bs

I found the conflict and it's plain as day. I should have known immediately that Better Map Textures is the problem.

I didn't think of it straight away because it's in a collection that a guy advertises in his youtube channel as must have IM mods that all work together and claims he runs ALL THE TIME .

The BMT mod has a flatmap.dds which overwrites yours, and even loading your mod after BMT your flatmap.dds is not used, so I guess once the game loads the map from a mod it doesn't load a newer one from a later mod, which is kind of weird.

No matter what order I loaded BMT and DPS, the only way your dark sea mod colours the sea when zoomed out is if I delete the flatmap.dds from the BMT mod.

So your mod is working perfectly, sorry for my earlier claim that it doesn't.

Sorry forget what I said.

I have just tried loading only your mod and it works perfectly.

So even though I loaded your mod last it seems there is something affecting your mod at the point where I zoom out and the decorations are added to the map which is weird.

I'm about to go through all my mods to find out which it is, but don't really know what to look for even when I isolate which mod is causing the issue. Do you have any idea what to look for a mod that could be causing this behaviour in your mod?

Oh and for clarity I have your mod loaded last to ensure nothing is overwriting it.

It looks good a bit further zoomed out now but I cannot zoom all the way out as you have in your example without the paper map sea going full white.

The paper map sea switches from your blue to white at the zoomed out point the paper map gains the sea decorations, i.e. the huge Lobster near Sicily, the huge fish near Gibraltar, the huge Serpent near Brittany, etc.
