Description
The map takes place in an old, abandoned Family Lodge Hotel, located in a pine forest area like Colorado.Every time you use the briefcase, enemies will spawn thru out the mansion and roam the corridors. I would recommend to look for supplys first. Each time you clear the map, a sound will ping and you can get ammo and resin in the chest, on the sofa.

This is a remake of one of my L4d2 maps. I started this project mainly to test out, what is Source 2 capable of and what not, to figure out the new editor and learn workflow habits for future games running on source 2.

Love this map, wish there were more wave based maps like this one.

:steamsad:For visual purists testing out an oled-panel VR headset, this might be nice; but for most everyone else at this point in time it would be okay if this was a just-before-dawn attack, which is a real military tactic- and would allow an experience that does not visually strain the user.

The atmosphere you hit is amazing to be sure, but from a replayability standpoint (which by random encounters is a definition of that intent) the lighting is lacking in this regard.

The briefcase glows as an objective again. The player reaches out - Now there is another random enemy added to the mix. Each time, one more, one more, until at some point the player is facing a strange menagerie of many various foes from earth, from xen, from the combine, all fighting one another, but you are always their target. Alone, you reach out to the briefcase for the twenty-fifth time.... will you make it, again?

love the hide and seek and how the sounds travel through the different levels so I am always guessing where that combine or zombie is at. Fun to just run with the shot gun.

Echoing the other comments, the visual design of the hotel is stunning and feels very genuine. I did get a bit bored with the scavenging and repetitive combat after awhile. Video review and feedback here: https://youtu.be/mjlCod73aEU

very cool map. this is gonna get added to my normal rotation of custom maps I mess around in when I boot up the game!

I love abandoned hotel environments and this one is well done

Thanks for adding gameplay! I really like the game of cat & mouse with the combine.

Sounds like a great map, somthing i would consider, as soon there is a decent non VR source 2 game, took me quite some effort to keep this map at 90fps+, you would have to loose a loot of details, for a big inside and outside area map.

I absolutely second Arokh's suggestions about adding white forest inn inspired gameplay. White forest inn is one of my favorite HL maps, and I'm surprised I didn't realize that this map could be a spiritual successor to that if ambush combat was added (I think because of the night atmosphere).

Looks very good take some Michelangelo  please add some gameplay (and stuff to find).

This would be so perfect for some kind of the "White Forrest Inn" - ambush from HL Ep 2.
Maybe, Alyx has a breakdown with her car right at the Hotel, inside zombies are waiting. As soon as she finds some gas (props) for the car (shutting down a force field), Combine start to shoot from the outside through the windows, they get inside after a while...

Something like that would be really great
