CimCare Mod

Description

CimCare Mod
Credit to BoostHungry who created the original mod but is no longer maintaining it. Per his comment of approval for someone to continue the project, this is an updated fork of the original Nursing Homes for Senior Citizens mod.

The NursingHomeAI is updated to also include Eldercare services in house so that Nursing Homes provide both Senior Living rooms *and* Eldercare services. The original EldercareAI is unaffected so you can also have Eldercare services without Senior Living rooms attached, which will still be needed for independent Seniors.

The OrphanageAI is updated to also include Childcare services in house so that Orphanages provide both home for orphans *and* Childcare services. The original ChildcareAI is unaffected so you can also have Childcare services without home for orphans attached, which will still be needed for children living in normal homes.

Summary
Give your Seniors a a place to live comfortably (or not) after they have retired while providing Eldercare services in-house, which will free up valuable real estate allowing for the next generation to move in to your city.

Give your Orphans a a place to live comfortably (or not) after they have been removed from their house for whatever reason while providing Childcare services in-house.

This mod should help alleviate the "Senior Waves" and "Death Waves" by allowing you to proactively prepare for such situations by having Deathcare services near your Nursing Homes, along with integrated Eldercare to extend their lifespans.

Nursing Home Assets and Orphanage Assets will show up in the Healthcare menu, unless you're using the new Better HealthCare Toolbar in which case they'll be in the Eldercare/Childcare tab. (No more buggy nursing home tab!)

What does a Nursing Home do?
Nursing Homes will:
  • Identify Senior Citizens within their operational radius
  • Offer the Senior Citizen the opportunity to move into the Nursing Home (dynamic probability)
  • Act as a fully fledged residential building for the Senior Citizens living there
  • Provide in-house Eldercare services to residents only
  • Provide workplaces for the community

What does a Orphange do?
Orphanges will:
  • Identify Children within their operational radius without a household or bad household.
  • Move the children into the Orphanges
  • Act as a fully fledged residential building for the Children living there
  • Provide in-house Childcare services to residents only
  • Provide workplaces for the community

Other Details:
  • If there are multiple Senior Citizens in a family, then all or none of them will move to the Nursing Home
  • Seniors can be pulled out of a family with other members like Adults, but the presence of Adults in a family reduce the chances of a Senior moving to the Nursing Home
  • Seniors will not move if there are children without an Adult left to take care of them
  • Nursing Home and Orphanage Assets can be made by anyone (see below)
  • Nursing Homes and Orphanages can come in 5 qualities (1-5)
  • 1-5 quality Nursing Homes and Orphanages are increasingly more luxurious
  • Each Asset should specify their quality level

This is slightly changed from the original, getting rid of the confusing level 0 and the unhappiness for level 1. The design idea being that all Eldercare/Nursing Home services are valuable community services, they just range according to quality/wealth from Hospice Care at level 1 ranging up to Wealthy Retirement Estates at 5. While Hospice Care may be undesirable, it's not unnecessary and therefore should not cause unhappiness. The only possible Eldercare services I can envision having a negative effect is a Euthanasia Center or a Soylent Green Factory, but that's a bit dark lol.

What are the chances a Senior will move to a Nursing Home?
This is based on multiple factors including citizen's age, wealth, distance from the NH, quality of the NH, and family status.

Customizable Menu Options
There are currently two key areas of this mod you can customize:
Capacity - Increase or Decrease the capacity of your Nursing Homes/Orphanage to fit your play style
Income - Nursing Homes/Orphanages can earn income for your city from the Seniors/Children living in them, you can customize how much or turn it off.

Nursing Home/Orphanages Assets:
This mod provides the functionality needed by supported Assets; to actually place them you will need to subscribe to one or more Nursing Home/Orphanage assets. All previous Nursing Home assets except quality level 0 should be backwards compatible.

Nursing Home Care Original Pack by Populous.

To create compatible Assets:
  • Ensure this mod is enabled.
  • Subscribe to the additional Nursing Home Blocks.
  • Load Asset Editor, select the block level you want as a template and import your building model.
  • Edit stats accordingly (Eldercare stats are Healthcare Accumulation, Healthcare Radius, and Patient Capacity; Nursing Homes are Rooms, Operation Range, Quality Level).
  • Save.

Important Notes if you will be creating an Asset:
Keep the Room Capacity of your asset realistic for its size, people can scale the capacity by using the Mod's Menu Options. Please specify the quality (as a star rating) and number of rooms in your Asset's description.
General rule of thumb is up to twice as much Patient Capacity for Eldercare compared to Nursing Home rooms since rooms can have single residents or pairs.
Leave the Healthcare Radius as 400 for the mod to keep Eldercare services as residents-only

Incompatibilities:
- The original Nursing Homes for Senior Citizens; unsubscribe to use the new version.

Hello,
I've subscribed to all the mod's items and dependencies, I've enabled everything in my game (including the base nursing mod), but I don't have anything in the "senior" tab of my game besides of the basic geatric center. The orphanages function perfectly on their side. What should I do to resolve the problem ?

It completely broke my game.
Non-stop error messages.
Had to unsubscribe and go back to my previous savegame.

It appears that the “Nursing Homes with Eldercare Pack by Ciar Aon” linked here is gone. My local install disappeared and left holes in my current city with no good replacements. Doesn’t seem right that subscribed items should disappear like that when they are deleted from the workshop.

anyone have this mod installed with other mods and knows if this mod had some conflicts with real time 2 , lifebalance and realistic population? Thank you in advance!
