Description
DISCLAIMER: This mod Is super NOT canon and probably cursed.
I will NOT be there for you to save your soul from the greedy Chaos Gods nor your physical body from the wrath of angry canon loyalists that will (eventually) find your current location.
Consider yourself advised.

This mod adds three new units for Chaos, respectively:
-Khornate Chaos Elves (Spearmen)
-Khornate Chaos Elves (Swordmen)
-Khornate Chaos Elves (Skulltakers)
-Khornate Chaos Elves (Forsaken)
-Thakar Chosen of Khorne (hero)
They are available through the following building chains:
-Main horde chaos warriors building chain for Spearmen, Swordmen, Skulltakers and Thakar
-Main horde chaos magic building chain for Forsaken

For any doubt visit the QA section.

Ok, presentation over: let's dive into the technical stuff!

*BALANCE*

As always: I tried my best to not make them too broken.
Keep in mind that I have tested them in custom battles only though.
That means that I'm not taking into account Lord's Campaign Bonuses.
If you have suggestions for possible buffs or nerfs let me know down in the comment section!
I'm open to changes!
NOTICE: The units' stats screenshot was taken with the unit size setting set to large, so expect more HP and unit models if you are playing on Ultra.

*COMPATIBILITY*

As far as I know this mod works with pretty much everything that do not mess too much with vanilla units.
I'm playing the game with 100+ different mods and everything is working fine!
The mod is NOT save compatible.
If you want these Khornate Chaos Elves in your campaign you'll have to start a new one.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

-As you may already have noticed there Is a visual problem regarding a colour dissonance between a specific shield being bright red and with some stains while the other two shield's variants are just fine.
After multiple tries I managed to understand that the problem Is tied to the gloss map but sadly I can't do anything about It to fix It.
By re-enabling the gloss map the shield looks just like the other two BUT It start glowing like crazy and often turn pure white: now I don't know your preferences but personally I would take the "stained bright red" compromise any day.
Again sorry for the colour dissonance but I literally have no clue to how to fix this.

*UPDATES POLICY*

Let me be straight with you...when the mod status change from updated to outdated....if you start to spam in the comment section things like "update pls, OMG UPDATE, can we have an update my good sir?, UpDaTe!1!1!1" and similar stuff....know that https://media.giphy.com/media/e3URFlLQywEPC/giphy.gif

...But jokes aside: please don't do that.
When it becomes necessary, and when I can, I will update my stuff, do not worry.

*QA*

-"Is It normal that they look that pale? And why no voice?"
Yes, I made them mute and pale on purpose to reflect the fact that they are now soulless empty husks.
Yeah, I do know that not having them scream like crazy while fighting for Khorne It's a little bit of a turn off but I don't think that any Chaos voice actors would have been a good fit for them anyway.
-"I get that they are chaotic and thus stronger but aren't they a little bit too strong?"
Their stats were NOT made after their High/Dark Elves counterparts but after Chaos' chosen.
If you have any concerns about balance don't be shy and give some feedback.
-"SFO?"
As a matter of fact I'm officially retired from SFO/Overhaul related mods.
As always: If you already have previous experience in SFO submodding feel free to make an SFO version out of any of my mods that are currently missing one, I will link your submods if you provide me with a link.

And that's all I guess!
Credits time!

Thanks to H3ro and his great tool!
Thanks to Phazer for RME editor!
Thanks to [ESP] Lucio Boreno https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/profiles/76561198045305136 and his longer spears for High Elves mod https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2389073323 which Is currently used by this mod, please support his works now and in future!
Any of this would not have been possible without Frodo45127's RPFM which is still updated to this very day, thank you!
I would also like to thank Sebidee and Caligula for their great modding guides!
And I would like to thank you!
Whatever you liked my mod or not thanks a bunch for giving it a try!

Let's be brutally honest now: there are countless modders that are WAY more talented than me and that would deserve your money more than me.
That said, If you have grown to like my works so much to the point that you want to express your appreciation or just put a smile on my face...well: I will not stop you ;) .
You have my gratitude for all the support you can throw at me, independently by the donation's sum: you are all equals to me and I do thank you all.
From my part I can assure you that your donations will not be wasted, in fact I would mainly use them to:
-complete the Total War Warhammer DLC collection and thus expand my modding possibilities
-speed up my Warhammer 3 preorder
-PC related things

Truly Khorny I say.

As of today we are officially out of BETA.
I would like to thank everyone who participated through the BETA test and a special thanks to the ones who were here from day one and are still here.
The fact that we are out of BETA means that this mod Is fully finished (at least content-wise) and possible future updates are only going to just address minor stuff and fix possible problems, that's all.
It has been quite a Khorny journey but we made It!
Cheers! :cozyspaceengineersc:

Aah yes, the Emperor's Children, an interesting space marine legion/heretical legion. Maybe a tad bit too much about perfection though, but I suppose that's what being a follower of Slaanesh is all about haha. :D

Besides, the Emperor's Children were all about perfection, pride and arrogance long before they even fell to the ruinous service to Slaanesh, so I guess that was bound to happen sooner or later. :P They took the perfection, pride and arrogance to a whole new level when they started serving Slaanesh though.

Oh I don't mean to presume to say that you don't know what it's all about. My descriptive messages were more meant with a general idea in mind.

Slaanesh is my least favorite Chaos God too. My favorite Chaos Gods in that order is Khorne as my absolute favorite Chaos God, then it's Papa Nurgle himself, then Tzeentch and then it's Slaanesh at the bottom.

I still think Slaanesh is cool. Just not my favorite of the bunch.

And while Malice isn't officially canon, he should be. :P He would make an interesting addition.

And fair enough about Nurgle and Tzeentch coming before a potential Slaanesh version. That definitely works for me and I'd much rather see those than Slaanesh.

@stofffe92 Eh I get what you are saying and I have nothing against Slaanesh (well I do have a grudge on him because He/She/SlaaneshGender™ Is responsible for the Emperor's Children downfall in 40k, but I digress) but I don't particularly like him neither.
He Is in fact my least favourite Chaos God to be honest.
Even Malice (which Is borderline not canon) beats Slaanesh in my personal Chaos Gods tier list.
I may end up covering him anyway for completion's sake but not before Nurgle and Tzeentch.

And I know this is harder to implement and fix, so I don't expect this to be something that can be done, but the horns on the elven helmets would look way better if they were much further down on the helmet(growing out from around eye height),

and to make them meet without clipping, especially the skull in between the tips of the horns, the horns would have to be made longer and then meet up at the top like now, and the skull would still be up there in between the horn tips.

Probably hard to change though.

Overall, a stunning work of a mod. :D Great job.
stofffe92 25 Aug, 2021 @ 11:19am
Of course, the Dark Elves are already usually black, gold and purple. :D

But something a lot of prominent mortal followers of Slaanesh truly possess in excess is charisma. In heaps. I guess some of the Slaaneshi daemons does too, especially the Daemon Princes and Princesses and the Keepers of Secrets greater daemons, even more so in the case of the more well known named characters, but this charisma is a trait that is so common in so many of Slaanesh's mortal followers.

Sigvald is one example. Handsome, beautiful and blessed by the Prince of Chaos yet deadly and a sick psychotic mind of a deranged murderer and mass killer.

I think charisma is more common in Slaanesh's followers because they are often individuals who seeks to outperform all others in all kinds of ways and they want more than one thing.
