https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2102607886

If the original creator wishes for me to take this upload down, I will.
If the original creator wishes for me to delete the github repository, I will.

Until then, the mod will work for 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 as it used to.
If you are interested in the original source code, download the original mod, it has it included.
This version's source code is available on github: https://github.com/Pustalorc/Active-Circuits
If the original creator wants to use this version to update their mod, they are free to do so.

Current changes from the original version is just to make it work in 1.3.
If anyone has any changes they would like to see implemented on the mod, I'll try to implement them.

Designed for Rimworld 1.1, 1.2

Simply colors the power overlay (just the overlay, by default) so that it reflects the status of circuits.

Makes it easier to find problems while the power overlay is up.

Colors are fully configurable in settings.

Compatible with existing saves.

Requires Harmony.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Features

Default colors:
White = unconnected conduits
Magenta = power source with no power consumers
Pink = power is draining
Red = no power
Yellow = sufficient power
Green = power surplus

Optional: show bad-state circuits (generator unconnected to any power users, no power on circuit, disconnected conduit) even when the power overlay isn't showing. Disabled by default.

Colors will take a moment to update, especially if your game is paused. This is by design.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

05/21/2020: Optimized even further
05/20/2020: Added option to always show bad-state circuits. Disabled by default, may cause some additional lag (in my tests about an extra 0-4ms every 149 ticks, completely unnoticeable, but depends on how many unconnected things you have and your results may vary)

Compatible with:
- Hopefully everything.

Let me know if you find any.

Any chance of an update for 1.5?

Any chance of an update for 1.4?

For that matter, has anyone tried this in 1.4 to see if it still works?

I do plan on it, but I do need some time to figure things out, and test that it does work in 1.4, as if it just works, i'll just update the .xml
Darkrighteous 23 Oct, 2022 @ 3:08pm
are you going to update this to 1.4?

Yeah, the FPS drops was a known issue with the original version of the mod. I might do an overhaul of it and/or optimize it, but unsure as of right now (as I don't have much time on my hands). If another dev knows how to solve it and wants to or can do it, they are free to do a PR to the github repository linked on this mod.

I also noticed that map generated power building and unpowered player built ones don't have this issue, so that leads me to believe that the problem is related to updates of a powered network. I'm not a coder in any fashion so I'm not sure if that is the actual cause or not.

Have the same problem with and without Comigo's Trees mod. I also looked at the debug log before and after the fps drop. Nothing indicates that the mod is having an issue, if fact no errors appear at all when it happens (cleared the log on world load to confirm there were errors or not).
I noticed the fps steadily drops the more power related buildings(wires, generators, consumers, etc.) were built until it becomes unplayable, unless they are not on screen. Saving and reloading fixes it for a short time, then the fps drops again.
