Description
This mod makes tank shields solid or visually remaining on the tank. It means, what now, when a projectile hits the protective shields, tanks will not drop them to the ground, these shields will remain on the tank. This still doesn't mean that those shields can not actually be pierced or broken.

Thus, this mod solves the issue of non-recoverable lost shields for tanks in Conquest. Whereas in the original game there is no way to restore the shields for tanks, if they are lost then forever for a particular tank (among them, for example, the late German panzers Pz. III Ausf. M, Pz. IV Ausf. H, Pz. V 'Panther', Pz. VI 'Tiger', etc.).

This mod also fixes the randomly frequently disappearing mudguards of the Königstiger (ver. with late turret) in Conquest mode (for mods which adds this panzer to Conquest mode) and
Pz. IV Ausf. D, F1, F2, G, H, J. Besides also makes a number of small changes.

This mod should be compatible with most other mods. But, to make this mod works fully properly, it needs to be activated after the HangEmHigh's 3D Soundscape + Realistic Weapon Damage for shield changes and the Improved Squads & Rebalance For Conquest (Compatible with HangEmHigh's Realistic Weapon Damage) for a number of other small changes that you can view in the changelogs, or after other mods that could also affect this mod.

It is also possible to restore shields by editing your .sav file (hint, it's a zip file under the hood) to remove the "slicers" section.

I recommend that you read the description for the mod as well as all the comments to it on this topic, before writing something, so as not to be mistaken.

@Taylor Please read the posts below and draw a conclusion yourself, I've already expressed my position below. I conducted my tests and expressed my position. At the same time, for example, CalvinJZ has its own reasons.

The main purpose of this mod is cosmetic. Objectively speaking, all I changed was disabling the line of code leading to the shields falling off. This means that you can still destroy them, but they will remain on a tank.

If you are worried about regular updates of the mod - I haven't changed anything about the shields, just updating the file to support new versions of the game and making other small tweaks.
