[CZK] LWM's Deep Storage Debloat Patch

Description

A simple patch for LWM's Deep Storage created mainly to patch out containers which seem redundant from the must-have mod. This patch takes care of Little Storage 2 too if you have that installed

The patch removes
- the Medicine Cabinet
- the Pallet (overlap with Simple Storage)
- the Wrapped Pallet
- the Tray Rack
- the Single Tray Rack

The patch also tweaks some small things about other containers
- rebalanced deep safe to be more vanilla friendly
- fixed mixed up clothing rack textures
- restored old single deep shelf texture
- allowed hay to be stored in food baskets

Load after LWM's Deep Storage and Little Storage 2

Q: CE Compatible?
A: You tell me.

Q: Is this safe to add or remove mid-save?
A: It should be, but it's strongly recommended that there are no LWM assets in the game world when you do so.

- lilwhitemouse for his gamechanging mod
- cover art by me
- overalls and wrench courtesy of Vanilla Expanded

i would have downloaded it but i am not going to depart with medicine cabinet and pallet, i like them for aesthetic reasons, truly a shame, since i really wanted the new 1 tile food basket

I believe that if you have Replace Stuff Mod Compatibility installed alongside this one, you will get a red error stating that the deep storage pallet and covered pallet were not found. Its probably benign but just fyi.

Update: made a number of modifications courtesy of Anon
- fixed some overly long storage descriptions
- removed pointless quality comps and beauty stats from storage
- changed skip mass from 5 to 50
- some other changes will be dealt with later on

I still stand by my decision not to remove the middle shelf. The reason is very simple - It allows people finer control over how many stacks they want in a specific place

You can add them to your mod if you like the changes. I might make more going from what I mentioned.

I don't expect everyone would agree with this but something that feels awkward to me about the whole mod is that some containers look out of scale, meanwhile some are 1x1 while others are 2x1 arbitrarily. The Weapon Cabinets and the Skip look tiny, the Hook looks like it should have been 2x1. Meanwhile the Granary and the Hamper are both 2x1 but they are visually "two Hampers" and "two Baskets". I suppose it's a rule that storage containers should be 2x1 because of the bias coming from the Core 2x1 Shelf.

I'm not sure about the two weapon cabinets, I definitely think there needs to be only a single one but the question is which one's stats should be kept? It should be possible to turn the texture of the one that is removed into a Graphic_Appearances metal variant of the one that you keep, but I couldn't do it, possibly because I would have to change the texture paths so that they can be recognized? I commented out my attempt to do it in the xml.

I would ask you to make a 1x1 Tall Shelf because I couldn't be bothered with making the texture and you are probably better than me at that.

The middle size shelf sits at an awkward place, it's just some marginal stat advantages compared to the biggest one while getting just a single item more per cell compared to the Core Shelf. It barely counts as "deep" storage. Why would you build that instead of the big one, or even better, one of the other more specialised containers that can both fit more items and store and retrieve them faster? It also looks almost identical to the Tall Shelf.

There is the question whether some categories should be excluded from the Tall Shelf for realism and balance, even the original creator mentioned it in the description that items such sculptures shouldn't fit. I would extend that to also exclude Steel, Stone blocks, Chunks, Corpses and most minified items with a few exceptions such as bedrolls. It would also give you an incentive to use the specialised containers such as the Skip.
