Description
Don't like to fight in the dark? Stay alive until the sun comes up! Deploy at Dawn...fight through the day and into the night. Map has ToD (Time of Day).

A fog sits over the water, mist above the ground and dew forms on the grass. Atmosphere and fear are abundant until the sun rises. Campfires mark capture points, tents and church steeple denote owning team.

***Video was removed because of some copyright troll trying to steal my music.

NOTICE
This map can not be updated. The method/controls used for creating the TOD work intermittently in the editor but not at all in a loaded or played scene. Unity still has the controls but they simply do not work in 2020.

I'd like to have randomized the TOD start as well to keep it interesting but it wasn't overly feasible to choreograph everything given the lack of tools. I debated writing some C to pull it off but figured game changes would just break it.

***Update to the game has broken some things. They can't be fixed until SR releases a tool kit compatible with a current/modern version of Unity.

OK good to know. Lighting in RF is a real challenge because things are really disjointed. There are like 5 things needlessly disconnected from each other than toss in creating ToD and it was a bit like conducting an orchestra of drunks. One of the key things I wanted was starting off with that stark black silhouettes. What little light in the sky is completely ate by the trees and their shadows make anything ground level pitch black. This also makes a night backdrop for the initial fireflies on the outskirts of the map. Then as the sun rises you get those orange/purple blooms and those nasty hard to see eye adjustment moments at dawn and dust. It's pants pooping fun!

Yea I think that it doesn't work in some places might be the case, but to be honest it is quite challanging to play on this map so this makes it even more fun. Once again great map :)

Not working at all or not working "in places." There are spots where the shadows will make them pretty useless (which is realistic). This is why I added candles to the church. If you got in there before sun up you were ferked! Might as well have been Jimmy Hoffa in a 55 Gallon Drum being poured over by a concrete truck. -So yeah, NODS work, realistically i.e. they aren't magic and where there is -NO- light, they can't work.

If they aren't working, at all, anywhere I'd need to know more about your issue. OS, game version, screen cap, video, etc. You're the only one that reported the issue thus far.
