Rome Rerostered adds new and existing units to the faction unit rosters (campaign buildings like trader, port and smith can recruit units), and rebalances some unit statistics.
This mod has been intented to increase the replay value of the base Rome Total War game and includes some rebalancing concepts by changing faction roster unit availability, tweaking early game units stats, and includes new General Bodyguard units, along with the support for Onagers, Stone Wall and Huge City for Barbarians
Multiplayer factions also have access to new and existing (mercenary) units.

This mod supports 2.0.5, and is compatible with Mundus Magnus, Europe 270 BC, RTR Graphics pack and Swagger's Blood FX.
(mods altering unit statistics, like "Chivalry", will not be compatible)

Hi there!

As far as I recall (and checked) Rome Rerostered v2.31 - Factions Rebalanced should not affect the Marian Reforms.
However some of the general units may not appear until the Marian Reforms, and vice versa, some of the general units may not be granted after the Marian Reforms hapened.

does this mod change marian reforms?

Hi Agilaz,

Thank you for your comment and suggestion!

While historically inaccurate for the Roman era, historically (Celtic) greatswords did exist (called Gallowglass) in the medieval times. (although with a smaller grip, like you mention)
For extending the Barbarian unit rosters a bit with an elite unit, I feel it's still a nice inclusion in this mod (in fact Barbarian Invasion also uses this unit) and will keep it this way (as the mod has been out for almost 3 years now)
Agilaz 14 May, 2024 @ 11:31pm
Cool stuff. But is there a chance you remove those silly greatswords? They are pure fantasy and look completely dysfunctional with their overly long grips.

Always cool for Spain to receive archers, the game vanilla and Rome 2 makes it like Iberians never knew the bow, even the far distanced britons use them on chariots

awesome

I was thinking the big map expansion mod. That's it, so Mundus Magnus v.13 really

will do!

Hi Cyrus,

As long as the mod you want to use does not change any unit recruitment / building files there is high change it will work, but for example the Chivalry mod won't work. (as it changes the unit roster)
I know it is compatible with Mundus Magnus v1.3 and Europa 270 BC but haven't tried others.

Which mod specifically do you mean?
If possible, just give it a try and let me know the results.

Is this compatible with Imperator Mundus campaign map?
