Ozharas AoM Sandy Desert River Expansion

Ozhara's AoM Terrain Pack V1 Expansions

Description
This is an expansion mod to my Terrain Pack V1.

It just alters the desert river terrain to be lighter and more sandy.

To get both mods working properly, give this expansion a higher priority than the main mod.

This mod doesn't contain complete terrains, but just replacements for the desert rivers visuals layer. So this won't look good combined with any other terrains then mine.

Therefore I made this requested change optional. :)

There are maps/terrain compositions that do look better with this in my opinion, but for now I personally like the darker version better to.

Perfect would be to have darker terrain with less blue/deep water. I'll have to dig deeper to totally understand how the water works...

î think it looks better without this sandy mod but ok...^^

If there is something that needs to be fixed or something a lot of people want to be changed I'll do an update for the main texture pack itself.

But if it's something that really depends on personal taste - there might and will be people that liked the initial implementation more. Therefore I'll do an expansion mod in such cases so everyone canuse the mix one likes most.

But if there are enough requests, I can (and will) integrate such expansion into the main texture pack later.

So it all depends on feedback. :D:

For the stretching in high elevations/cliffs - there is nothing I can do about that and I think in the originalgame it was the same. You can see this in most other games too, not only rts but also in older shooters for example.

For the water - I willhave a look at it - just don't know when exactly.
It's a bit more tricky then the land terrains it seems...

In an early beta version that I used when doing my terrains there was a problem with tga files saved with RLE compression.
AoM wasn't able to use these files right resulting in these lines.
This is fixed now and I recompiled all my terrains, so there is no such line ingame anymore.

I just forgot to take new screens. :)
