There are maps/terrain compositions that do look better with this in my opinion, but for now I personally like the darker version better to.
Perfect would be to have darker terrain with less blue/deep water. I'll have to dig deeper to totally understand how the water works...
But if it's something that really depends on personal taste - there might and will be people that liked the initial implementation more. Therefore I'll do an expansion mod in such cases so everyone canuse the mix one likes most.
But if there are enough requests, I can (and will) integrate such expansion into the main texture pack later.
So it all depends on feedback.
For the water - I willhave a look at it - just don't know when exactly.
It's a bit more tricky then the land terrains it seems...
AoM wasn't able to use these files right resulting in these lines.
This is fixed now and I recompiled all my terrains, so there is no such line ingame anymore.
I just forgot to take new screens. :)
Plain grass just changes the grass and this modjust the desert river.
last both are expansion mods specifically thought to be used with the main mod to alter some terrains visuals.
So as far as an expansion doesn't tell you it is incompatible with another expansion mod, you can use all of them together witout any problems. Just be sure the expansion mods have a higher priority then the main mod.
For the mod manager is still a bit buggy, you have to set the priority manually in a the text file normally automatically edited by pressing the priority buttons.
Download all mods and go to AoM\mods\mod-status.txt
There you can set the priority numbers. Lower is higher priority.
