Athena-class Battlecruiser Mark-V

This is the Athena-class Battlecruiser, she is the larger sister ship to the Perseus-class Heavy Cruiser. Designed around the same concept of the citadel, she has a larger and wider citadel with more access within it. She is also heavier. She packs quite a lot of firepower into her hull, and she is missing some weapons due to Mexpex's Energy Weapons bug where she has blast doors covering her forward section that used to house her 9x Beam weapons.

Athena is designed to go into battle and hold the line, literally. Her outer hull is heavy armor along with her citadel. Along with nearly 23 million shields, she can take a beating for a long time. She also has 2 rear hangars. One is on her Port, the other Starboard which allows her to carry 4 smaller vessels. She is currently carrying a UEF Repairer and UEF Miner for grabbing Ice and basic repairs. Her other side is housing 2x Bearcat Mk2 Fighters.

She has 2 docking connectors. One on Port and one on Starboard below her access points allowing for ease of design for a docking array. She also has one on her aft top to allowing a shuttle or other smaller vessel to dock that cannot fit in her hangar bay.

On 2 servers, I have actually built this ship using a welding array and a tug boat pulling her back while welding it. It took a long time due to the amount of metal grids needed for the heavy armor but she is fun overall.

The UEF (United Expeditionary Forces) Fleet are mostly comprised of Battlecruisers, Heavy Cruisers, Light Cruisers, Destroyers, Fleet Carriers, Heavy Frigates and Corvettes. Athena is the spearhead of such operations leading from the front to allow the lighter ships to flank.



(Disclaimer on Mods)
Salt Squad Mod Pack 5 and 2 are OKI's Weapons and Mexpex Industries balanced and adjusted on damage, updated sound files that I added from actual naval gun fire for OKI, and a few other times. You can run the ship with your own OKI/Mexpex mods as they are the same models/scripts other than minor tweaking.

NPC Android Crew is not required, it's just there for added power/thrust/gyro to make the ship more agile. None of the scripts on the ship are on the Crew so not loading it with it will not cause any issues.

Sci-fi Images Mod just lets me use a lot more images for the Sci-fi Buttons which makes labeling far better, but you can go without it and it will just remove those images off the LCD screens on the button panels.

Also, as for the DLCs: I own all of them, and due to how much is in this ship, I cannot remember exactly what DLC's are used, I am pretty sure pretty much something from all of them is used within the vessel.

Update: Properly updated Block count and PCU due to script giving me an error due to Projectors and Subgrids. It was nearly doubling it's actual count in blocks.
