Description
NOTE: After testing I am pleased to announce that Imperial Conquest is now compatible with Galaxy at War Version 0.76, players of this mod no longer need to rely on Version 0.6 anymore, as Imperial Conquest is now able to be played with the latest version of Galaxy at War, the link to the latest update to Galaxy at war will be provided on the mod page so that people can easily have access to it.

However, be known that you still have to activate Imperial Conquest first, before you do Galaxy at War for the bugs to be overloaded.

Story
It has been 15 years since the Far Away War ended. Earth is stuck in a prolonged time freeze following the destructive 11-year war that began in the late 1980s and escalated in 1991. This conflict included two separate occupations and invasions, which spanned from 1991 to 1999.

The war finally ended in 2003 with the arrival of the Galactic Republic, which not only liberated Earth but also brought peace to the Solar System. However, little did humanity know that their supposed saviors would return 15 years later as conquerors.

Fifteen years after the bloody war, Earth remained technologically stagnant. From 2003 to 2018, Earth was unable to reverse-engineer or advance its technology due to the Galactic Republic's purging of all traces of the Trade Federation and CIS occupations. The damage inflicted during the war, including the devastating nuclear holocaust of 1992, left Earth in ruins and trapped in the cultural and technological aesthetics of the 1980s. The Soviet Union never collapsed due to the invasion of 1991.

Innovations such as touchscreens and online gaming networks were never invented, and many technologies we rely on today remained unrealized. Instead, Earth repurposed its surviving technology to rebuild cities, many of which were 98% destroyed, with some rendered permanently uninhabitable.

By 2018, despite its stagnation, Earth’s militaries had recovered to some extent, developing deadlier tanks and APCs compared to the outdated vehicles of the 1980s. However, the global population remained unaware that 2018 would mark the beginning of a new conflict.

The Galactic Empire launched its invasion in the Middle East. Despite a united front from the world's militaries, as seen during the Far Away War, the situation quickly spiraled out of control. By 2019, the Empire had spread into Eastern and Western Europe, culminating in one of the largest land engagements in history, which took place in Ukraine.

The situation worsened as more Imperial forces arrived from planets they had conquered earlier, beginning in 2012. Orbital bombardments devastated cities worldwide, and by the autumn of 2019, Earth’s militaries were on the brink of collapse.

By the summer of 2020, supplies and weapons factories were nearly non-existent. Replacing vehicles or ammunition became impossible.

By September 2, 2020, nearly 99% of Earth was under Imperial rule, forcing the remaining armies to retreat to Antarctica. On October 22, 2020, the destruction of the last military munitions factories and headquarters rendered Earth’s military infrastructure completely defunct.

Tanks, weapons, and ammunition could no longer be produced, and defense leaders were decimated by the millions. Earth’s militaries effectively ceased to exist.

Despite the fall of Earth’s conventional forces, resistance continued. In 2021, a year after Earth’s conquest, both civilians and military personnel formed the Earth Resistance. While various smaller resistance cells operated across Imperial-controlled continents—including one led by Star Wars creator George Lucas in North America—the Earth Resistance became the most widely recognized due to its size and influence. It was considered the last hope for humanity. If the Earth Resistance fell, all hope for liberation would be lost.

Now, it is 2024—four years into the Imperial occupation. After three years of defensive warfare, the Earth Resistance began taking the fight to the Empire in 2022.

This shift coincided with the destruction of the Death Star in the Star Wars galaxy by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. The event forced the Galactic Empire to redirect the bulk of its forces through a black hole that connected their universe to ours.

This reprieve gave Earth a chance to mount counterattacks, though the Imperial presence on Earth and throughout the Solar System remained formidable.

On May 14, 2024, George Lucas’s birthday, Earth prepares for Operation Orbital, its first major offensive in space.

This marks a historic turning point in Earth's struggle, as humanity aims to bring the Earth-Imperial War into the cosmos and strike back at the Galactic Empire on planets throughout the Solar System.

NOTE: When you download Imperial Conquest, You will need the Galaxy at War Mod in order to get the Walkers working right, if you try to play Imperial Conquest without the Galaxy at War Mod installed after, the walkers will not move, they will slide across the ground, and vehicles will not explode properly.

@roz_Mckenna depending if I can get mission makers and map makers to help out. I can't do big battles on this mod as every time I try it crashes the game, so I actually need help to continue doing this campaign.

@Tonymon there are missions on the mod directly, however production has been stopped because of lack of help, and frustration from the Galaxy At War mod always crashing on me everytime I make a mission. But if you want to know yes there are missions there is even a Pinned Discussion known as Sahara Campaign Mission listing, which lists every mission in the Imperial Conquest Mod, also It requires Galaxy At War to function properly, once you download both mods you have to install Imperial Conquest first, then Galaxy At War Second, then you can play the mod, but if you do it in reverse, where you activate Galaxy At War first, and Imperial Conquest Second, then it will crash the game.

have any missions been made for this mod yeti noticed a post saying i have to manually add them editor and that they would be submods but i cant find them in the workshop

@William,sftindal Makte sure that you activate Imperial Conquest before you activate the Galaxy at War mod, those are the only 2 mods that have to be activated in order for this mod to run.

Getting an error on loading, its telling me App_error cant open Pak mods/imperial conquest/resource/texture/texture/common/construction.pak. error -200

after this its a bunch of numbers and letters etc, any ideas? would love to play this mod.
