(I haven’t tried either yet, just going by the mod descriptions)
Wood Frames have 50hp
Metal Frames have 120hp
Wood Wall lvl 1 has 450 hp
Wood Wall lvl 2 has 550 hp
Wood Wall lvl 3 has 650hp
Each level of Carpentry adds +20 hp to each wood wall (not frame)
Metal Walls lvl 1 has 770hp
Metal Walls lvl 2 has 870hp
Each level of Metalworking add +20 hp to each metal wall (not frame)
Therefore:
lvl 1 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 650
lvl 2 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 750
lvl 3 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 850
lvl 1 metal wall @10 Metalworking = 970
lvl 2 metal wall @10 Metalworking = 1070
Handy Trait has no real impact (provide lvl 1 Carpentry, so you start off with +20, but does not give an extra +20 at max)
A wood wall built using a metal frame will gain 70hp,
A metal wall built with a wood frame will lose 70hp.
Log wall has 900hp
Upgrading walls from lvl 1 to 2 and in the case of wood 3 awards no extra hp
