@Kust5 I think Show Wall Health has the kind of straightforward numbers you’re looking for, instead of this mod’s rp-friendly qualitative descriptions

(I haven’t tried either yet, just going by the mod descriptions)

I installed this mod to see a clear amount of hp at the walls, but instead it just writes whether it is strong or not. how to make it so that he would write a clear number of xp against the wall as in the picture of this mod?

still working on 41.78?
Monkey Magic 18 Feb, 2023 @ 11:04am
Checked this out in current build )41.78) and:

Wood Frames have 50hp
Metal Frames have 120hp

Wood Wall lvl 1 has 450 hp
Wood Wall lvl 2 has 550 hp
Wood Wall lvl 3 has 650hp

Each level of Carpentry adds +20 hp to each wood wall (not frame)

Metal Walls lvl 1 has 770hp
Metal Walls lvl 2 has 870hp

Each level of Metalworking add +20 hp to each metal wall (not frame)

Therefore:

lvl 1 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 650
lvl 2 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 750
lvl 3 wood wall @10 Caprentry = 850
lvl 1 metal wall @10 Metalworking = 970
lvl 2 metal wall @10 Metalworking = 1070

Handy Trait has no real impact (provide lvl 1 Carpentry, so you start off with +20, but does not give an extra +20 at max)

A wood wall built using a metal frame will gain 70hp,
A metal wall built with a wood frame will lose 70hp.
Log wall has 900hp
Upgrading walls from lvl 1 to 2 and in the case of wood 3 awards no extra hp

Does it work on garage doors?

Keep in mind that your character need to face the direction of the wall and click on the edge of the fence in order for the context menu to show examine

So after reading your article about how wall strength is calculated, it looks like other than editing the bonus health values in the .lua, there is no way to edit wall health outside of the MultiStageBuilding.class file? I know nothing of java, so no idea how that decompile/recompile stuff works. Just want a balanced wall health system in my game...
=(

@Prof.Xomox This would be awesome ! Nice mod @PseudonymousEd

Works in the current build, any way you could add the functionality of examine to gates/doors? And thanks!

@Pers0na That is as designed. The higher your carpentry skill the more detail you get about the condition of the wall.
Pers0na 16 Jan, 2022 @ 1:33am
Can confirm it doesn't work for current build, only thing that comes out after examining a wall is "Solid"

Sorry for the google translation.

Works with save games of 41.65 ??
Limey 10 Dec, 2021 @ 2:06pm

In what was it is not working for you in 41.56? It works as I expect in 41.56 in my save.
doodlepigs 29 Nov, 2021 @ 6:17am
sadly doesn't seems to work for the latest update :(
THE_EVIL_THAT_MEN_DO 12 Nov, 2021 @ 9:06pm
I wish we could visually identify construction's health in future vanilla updates

@SugarJade Not sure, but it looks like walls stay damaged
Keragom 2 Sep, 2021 @ 9:26am
This is amazing! I always hated how I couldn't know how far a wall of my base was to being completely destroyed.

Love this Ed! quick question, if zombies do damage to a wall, does it stay damaged or does it regen to its original health? >3
