[WOTC] Item Hider by Iridar

Description
Allows hiding unwanted items and schematics from HQ inventory and Engineering through Mod Config Menu or configuration.

Hidden items become "ghost templates" and can still be used by XSkin, Weapon Skin Replacer or Template Master.

SAFETY WARNING

Removed items can be restored ONLY by loading a previous save.

It's possible to permanently break your campaign if this mod is used carelessly. Use at your own risk.

Unless you know exactly what you're doing, DO NOT attempt to hide base game items and weapons, as that can cause the game or other mods to not behave as expected.

REQUIREMENTS

X2 WOTC Community Highlander is required.
Mod Config Menu is recommended, but not mandatory.

COMPATIBILITY

Should be compatible with everything. Can be safely added or removed mid campaign. Keep in mind removed items will NOT be restored if this mod is removed.

CONFIGURATION

The default configuration for this mod is stored in this file. You can add unwanted item templates to the ItemsToHide list in this configuration file, but be aware that any changes you do to it may be lost if this mod is updated.

Your MCM configuration for this mod is stored in this file. You may want to back it up in when deleting the user config folder.

KNOWN ISSUES

Depending on how you set up the item filters in MCM, the item list may take a while to load.

In my testing the mod crashed the game when attempting to display more than 263 items per page. I set up the mod to split the item list across several pages, with 250 items per page. If you experience crashes when entering MCM screen for this mod, try reducing the SettingsPerPage value in the default configuration file.

Fantastic, I was just in the process of trying it and you have confirmed that I was about to do it correctly. I have unhidden the 3 tiers and am just getting the template names.

You can add it back with a console command, just make sure to unhide in Item Hider first.

Hi @Iridar, I wonder, could you tell me. If I started a campaign and hid the LW2 Gauntlet, but now I wish to add a new soldier class mid-game, that uses the Gauntlet, is there a way to get it back?

For instance, if I were to console command in the Gauntlet would that cause a big issue?

What if I try to add hidden weapons through the console without loading the save?
It doesn't work, as I understand it?

I don't know what you mean by upload/download save. The list of items you have in your campaign is stored in your save file. Hiding items physically delets them from your campaign inventory. So if you hide some items, then make a save, then the items will be permanently removed from that save, even if you unhide them later, so to restore the items, you will have to load a save that was made before you hid the items.

Does this mean that I will need to replay the game from the moment of this save? Or I will need to:
1. Upload a save before edits
2. Hide unnecessary but not problematic weapons
3. Download the latest save

Any advice pls. When I hide weapons in the mcm, resistance pack, the guns that I leave not hidden loses its T2 and T3 entries in the mcm list and in the game I only get 1 weapon as to unlimited. After I restart the game, the mcm list is fine, but when I start a new game the problem presists.

So console commands don't block the stuff! Also did the reset. This is a really good mod especially with stuff like the lwotc modjam which forces some uncraftable items unless you also get the associated mod.

There should be a reset option in MCM, though it will not affect any existing campaigns.

Oh crapballs. Welp, it's just one item. I'll just see if console commands can give it to me.

Is there no way to reset it other than maybe removing it in the modset for a new campaign?
