Description
A job to extract a scientist from Ares sounds like an easy check, but when Ares takes the assault on them personally you find your team captured and Ares breathing down your neck. Now you have to find a way to save your team and get Ares off your back. [( I recommend a character of 200 karma.Game is designed for characters continuing from DMS campaign so weaker characters will find this challenging to say the least.) A special thank you to our prop makers who have added extra vehicles to help decorate our scenes!.]

Ah I guess once I run though the story I'll try out the next game.

Not this one. I quit working on the dms version shortly after my Berlin version was released.

did it ever get fixed?

Just a heads up. I am currently working on fixing issues that have popped up since the last HBS update. The gane might freeze on you over half way through it. I am working on it as quickly as possible.

Ok MFer (funny how if you abbreviate your name it comes out differently ;) ) I'll try the director's cut version.

Usually when people are complaining about a game being too tough it's a good sign that the game is challenging. I wouldn't sweat it unless YOU KNOW you tried to create a game that is a death trap. I always figure that I'd rather die a few times, and be pissed off than get bored because the game is too easy.

I recommend trying to play the Mod A Stich in Time, to get an idea of a well balanced, but challenging battle scape.

Don't let the noobs throw you, challenge them to use a little strategy and skill. I'm going to try and make a big mod soon and I won't be revamping to make it easier once it's done. If shadowrunners didn't die no one would call shadowrun "Dangerous Work". ;)

Sorry Ronnie I haven't played through it in quite a while. I've been revamping the whole story for the director's cut. It is difficult to balance enemies with what players are running though. I originally had it pretty tough but got lots of complaints. It may be toned down too much now. Not sure. If you have te DC version you may like it better.

Can anyone tell me if this gets more challenging than the beginning with the gangers? I don't wanna milk run... I just walked into Ares and started wiping out the guards there too in the first room. I started with around 240 karma for my street samurai.

Thanks

sorry. I haven't been on this one is quite a while. I have been revamping the story for Director's cut. I will try to check on those bugs ASAP though.

i've just finish the first part and i really enjoyed it. there's a good story the background is coherent and the side characters fits in your world. you can be proud of your production.
however it's not perfect the outdoor levels are not detailed enough (but i've loved the miser realm even if it's imported). it's the same problem with the dialogues, they are too short.

**spoilers**

i've spotted two bugs:
in the mister johnson's side quest you need to open a gate with a decker (belladonna) but i can't do it, the game said i had not the deck skill to do it.
when you have to save firestorm you can talk to a prostitute and propose her to follow you for saving her that does'nt work.

@Kamul-- Entering the scene you start in a hallway. From there go three rooms t your right or east. In the 3rd room you will see computers and a wall monitor. The row of computers past the tables with the sinks has a conversation icon and a yellow waypoint to point to itself. That is the first one to open the next doors. After that you will get into the room that is identical to the one you found the scientist in at ares. The computer in the back of the room is the same way. It has a speech bubble to interact with and a yellow waypoint to point itself out. I just tested it out again and it looks to be working properly. Due to the lighting you may have missed it though.
